About this property
Forest lake retreat in Hälsingland
In the middle of the deep forests of Hälsingland, a unique experience awaits you at your very own lake. Here you can relax in complete seclusion, far from the stress of everyday life and the noise of the city, with only the sounds of nature for company.
The charming cottage is located just three meters from the lake and offers a glassed-in patio and a spacious veranda with a gas grill. The main building has a bedroom with a double bed and a cozy loft with mattresses. For larger groups, there are two separate sleeping cabins with double beds on the property.
After a day of activities, you can enjoy the evening sun from the porch or take a relaxing sauna with a view of the lake. The large plot extends all the way down to the water, where you will find your own jetty. Try simple living with solar panels that provide the cottage with electricity, an outdoor toilet, a gas-powered refrigerator, and there is also a backup generator. The cottage does not have a shower, but you can heat water in the sauna and use the shower inside the sauna if it is cold outside. There is a shower that you fill with water from the sauna heater.
The area offers fantastic nature experiences with hiking to the top of Räkaklitt and canoeing along the Voxnan river. Visit the UNESCO-listed Hälsingegårdarna farms or enjoy a coffee break at the charming Linbageriet café in Alfta. For fishing enthusiasts, the lake offers excellent opportunities for pike and perch fishing.
