"This was our second time staying here, the home is in an excellent location to enjoy biking the Root River Trail or enjoying kayaking, canoeing, or tubing on the Root River. Plenty of choices for food and drinks in the evening."

"We really enjoyed our stay in the Proprietor’s Suite (which is a 1 bedroom house from 1929). Nicely appointed and very clean. However, the bedding was frankly horrible. Synthetic materials and even plastic covered pillows. Very low cheap quality for what otherwise was a lovely place."

RUSTIC CABIN IN THE WOODS, 5 MIN TO ROCHESTER

"The cabin was great for our needs and we brought everything we may have needed, knowing it was very rustic. The solar lights were very helpful. It's well set up with plenty of sleeping space(4 ppl) and a very sturdy table inside and out. Also has a picnic table. The outhouse isn't too far off, but it did smell surprisingly terrible. Fire pit area and the rest of the yard/property is great. There is a bocce ball set there. Good spots for hammocks or a tie out cable. The endless corn border is pretty cool. The door is a pain to get to latch closed, and also for opening as it's tight at the bottom and gets stuck around 45 open. There is a lock latch inside to make sure it stays closed when inside. And also locks the door as the keypad lock doesn't work well either, as if it's possibly dying. Overall, would for sure recommend the stay"

"Overall we liked our stay. However, on our way home, we noticed a one night, charge, on our credit card account from the motel. The phone call back to the motel resulted in a verbal disagreement as to why this charge occurred. The manager would be available the next day but until then we were upset with this improper charge. The next day the charge was cancelled by a matched credit. Unfortunately this situation, although solved, was a dark stain on our visit."
