The apartment is set in an up-market area of Edinburgh, making it very close to different tourist attractions. Such include the Water of Leith Walkway, the Stockbridge Market and others. The street is extremely quiet due to limited access for cars and, therefore zero traffic flows.
However, the apartment is a leisurely walk into the city centre to the South and the affluent area of Stockbridge to the North - boasting great eateries, cafes and boutique shopping. You will also have access to the exclusive Moray Place and Doune Terrace gardens.

Getting Around:
● The nearest bus stop to the property is a short 3-minute walk, Kerr Street.
● A 20-minute walk will take you to Edinburgh Waverley train station.

Beautiful property, the enormous red curtains make it even more Festive. Great location - quiet, peaceful but close to centre. Very helpful staff on end of phone. Would use again as and when the occasion arises.

Locating the property was difficult. What is "1/6 Doune Tce" meant to convey? We realised that this was meant to be "Flat 1, No 6 Doune Tce". Why could that not have been put down. To add more confusion, there was no "1" on the door. Just 3 names. The login procedure was very complex, kept crashing and asking questions which were none of your business, Why do need to know my sex? I could not progress on the site without answering these questions. I appreciate the need for ID, but this was ridiculous. Fortunately it was office hours and I got through to Altido and the receptionist there was able to ID us in about 2 minutes and give me the code to unlock the key lock The whole interior was shabby, considering how much we paid to stay there. It needs updating. The shower was dangerous; at the shower end off the bath it sloped upwards causing you to lean in to get wet. Also there was nothing to hold onto; fortunately we are fit and able but we both felt that balancing in the shower was difficult. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable, the heating was very easy to manage and kept the flat warm.
