Scottish Apartment with Amazing Castle Views

The apartment has been refurbished to a high standard with Scottish touches. The apartment is centrally located, part of the iconic Art Decor building, Lothian House. It boasts panoramic views of the Castle and Arthur's Seat. The apartment is vegan friendly, please ask if you would like more information.

In the heart of Edinburgh, it is a short walk from Princes Street, the Old Town and West End. It is close to the main tourist attractions and Festival venues. It is an ideal apartment for couples, individuals and business travellers.

There are numerous supermarkets, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Please note: Edinburgh City Council has introduced a mandatory 5% Tourist Levy. This will apply to bookings made on or after 1 October 2025 for stays starting from 24 July 2026. The levy is charged on the first five nights of any stay and will be collected separately.

Perfect Location

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and cozy flat. With beautiful views, restaurants and stores within walking distance, and the castle only a short walk, this was the perfect spot for us. Maureen gave us a warm welcome with fresh fruit and flowers. We hope to return soon.

We really enjoyed our stay our host Maureen was really thoughtful, attentive and responsive. She started off our honeymoon really seamless and couldn’t appreciate her more. Plus the room is in great condition and really central to all our plans!

Fantastic location to explore Edinburgh!

Maureen the host was amazing and greeted us when we arrived. The location was great, a little off of the main touristy roads but a 10-15 minute walk to everything. Highly recommend booking this place for a couples trip as it’s a great home base for Edinburgh. If you do, be sure to go to Hey Palu (a great cocktail bar right around the corner.

Great Location for Edinburgh and Fringe

Apartment was perfect for 2 people visiting Edinburgh for first time. Location was convenient for easy walk to sight seeing areas and Fringe activities. Really appreciated Maureen accommodating our very late check in. Staying in this apartment provided a perfect ending to our 2+ week vacation in Ireland and Scotland.

A great find

We were situated high above the hustle and bustle of Lothian St in a very central location. The apartment was beautifully appointed and Maureen was a great host who went out of her way to make our stay perfect. We will definitely stay again.

Great Apartment and Great Location

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in July 2024. Spacious for two. Maureen was a very gracious and accommodating host. This is a fantastic location for short walks to the Royal Mile and New Town. Great view of Edinburgh Castle! Walk to the Tram and Train. Great food and pubs nearby.

Edinburgh getaway

We couldn’t have had a better time! Maureen was kind and helpful. The apartment was impeccably clean and so centrally located that it was so easy to either walk or take a bus to anywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely book this again. Be mindful that it is in the heart of the city and there is street noise which is to be expected, even at night. However the excellent location and beautiful accommodation make it all worth while. Pack the ear plugs and have a great time!

This suite was of highest quality in our view. Clean, organized, well described with great amenities. We appreciated the treats. Maureen was extremely helpful and resourceful. The only small downside, out of the owner’s control is the noisy street below.

Lovely Apartment, Great Location

This is a clean, attractive, comfortable apartment in a very convenient location. The bed is very comfortable and the plumbing is modern. It is an easy walk to most of the highlights of the city and a short walk to Haymarket or Waverly train stations. Maureen met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the building and the apartment. She couldn't have been more welcoming and pleasant to work with. We really liked the apartment and would happily stay again.

Maureen couldn’t have been a better host. She met us at the property, provided many additional unexpected amenities, and helped us with learning the TV. Beautiful apartment well located

This lovely, modern apartment was very comfortable and well stocked. It is located wihin walking distance of Edinburgh's most famous sites. Maureen, the host, was so helpful and friendly. She met us upon arrival and was available when needed. The apartment is on the fourth floor and has a lift for ease of access. Because it's on the top floor, you have a wonderful view of Edinburgh Castle from the bedroom and living room windows. We loved our two week stay and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Wonderful mini break

What a wonderful apartment ! I would highly recommend as it is in a great location and is a well kept and cosy place. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The apartment has everything you need with lovely touches of flowers, fruit and milk in the fridge-even umbrellas and shopping bags if you need them! Communication between the owner was prompt at all times and it was lovely for her to meet us with recommendations for restaurants etc. Lothian Road is very busy with lots of traffic but we were prepared with ear plugs and we loved watching the busy street below. It also gave us lots of options for restaurants and pubs. Would highly recommend.

We selected this property due to its location and amenities. The flat was simply perfect. A large comfortable oversized King sized bed in a large bedroom with a superb view of Edinburgh Castle. The bathroom was very well fitted with no issues regarding hot water. The kitchen was modern and equipped for eating meals in the flat. The living area had a good sized TV with Net Flix. The in building laundry facility is cheap and very clean. The secure wifi was a great benefit. Many bus routes can be accessed just outside the front door. The immediate area has a vast choice of restaurants, shops and attractions. The host of this flat, Maureen, was fabulous to deal with. Her property is kept in immaculate shape and she made us feel very welcome at check in. She also left us with a supply of milk, tea, coffee, fruit and cleaning products. This flat is a must when visiting Edinburgh.

Stunning flat in Edinburgh

Wow! This flat is more like a boutique hotel suite. The high ceilings and huge windows make it incredibly airy and bright, and the furniture and finishes are top-notch. The kitchen is a cook's dream—you could easily cook anything you wanted. The living space is cozy and elegant, and the bedroom is huge, with a massive, comfortable king-sized bed we never wanted to get out of. There's a big closet for storing clothes as well. The bathroom is small but beautifully appointed and has tons of shelving for storing toiletries (something often lacking in other rentals). Our host met us at the property and was kind and warm, sharing lots of local information and helping us get settled in. Best of all, there's a lift (elevator) to the fourth-floor flat. The street (Lothian Road) is very busy and noisy during the day and evening, so it's best not to sleep with the windows open (and bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper) but the location is fantastic, with plenty of grocery shops and restaurants nearby, and the view of Edinburgh Castle is stunning. Several bus routes run along the road below for easy transport around town. We never wanted to leave and we hope to come back one day for another stay!

This place is a gem!! So close to down town. Maureen was very accommodating, she met us outside, helped with our bags and showed us around the apartment. The room was clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here!
