You can't beat the location of this flat. Just a minute from the Royal Mile and a short walk to Calton Hill. Highly recommended.

Amazing location. So close to the Royal Mile and City Centre. Quiet neighborhood. However, beds were very uncomfortable to the point that sleep was terrible. Super cheap, basic mattresses that did not reflect the price paid. For this reason alone, would not stay here again.

1 roll of toilet paper and no napkins or paper towels. Neighborhood was nice and right down street from Holyrood. Location was fine. Booked an arbnb so we could wash clothes. Clothes washer was broken.

The location was great but our keys did not indicate the apartment number and we did not know this until we arrived. A call to the manager number provided a confirmation of the unit number, just a little disconcerting for our arrival. It was sorted out immediately. Thank you.

Excellent, luxerious appartment with a lot of space. Very comfortable and cosy. Royal Mile just a few steps away. Take warnings regarding the garage serious. It is ok for a small car which is not long, however it is almost impossible even for experienced drivers to get e.g. an Insignia in. Organisational details received from Joivy were easy to understand and precise - very quick responding times. Getting and returning keys at the station worked without any issues - but it is quite cumbersome when arriving by car. One star less for: Washing machine not operable obviously since quite some time without informing the guest (who needs to bring more clothes then). Remote control of TV not working. Towel rail heating in bath not working, therefore cold in bathroom.

This was a great spot for myself and 3 family members to explore Edinburgh but the property needs some updating for sure. The rooms with 2 beds had the hardest bed I’ve ever slept on. My hips and back were very sore as if I slept on the floor. The other bed room was the opposite with the bed being so soft it was like a deflated air mattress. Your butt sunk down and feet were up! There were also broken dinning room chairs. Also bring your own toilet paper as they won’t give you enough to last more than a day! This unit is also on the top floor of the building. Not a massive deal but if you have mobility issues take note!

The property was ok. It was rated higher when I booked it and steadily decreased the closer I got to my stay (and after the cancellation deadline passed). There is no working washer/dryer - even though the handbook provides instructions to use it. I even confirmed the availability of a washer/dryer with Joivy ahead of arriving in case I needed to do some laundry before checking in (this was a stop during a two week trip). I was told the unit was there and operable. It was there with a note on it saying not to use it, but I had been told it worked, so I tried. It didn’t work and we ended up cleaning up water that leaked from it onto the floor. Also, request a fan or bring one if you go during warmer months. There aren’t any in the unit and it was very hot and uncomfortable even during the evening. Finally, the two beds in the one room are super uncomfortable. My son ended up sleeping on the couch. For the cost, we won’t stay here when we visit again. There are better options that provide the amenities we want and are ensure are there since we paid for them.

Excellent location. No need for a car to see the sights! If arriving by car, collecting the keys from Waverley Station Left Luggage may be tricky. We parked in a pay space outside the building (required a pay by phone app that was pretty easy to download) and paid for an hour of time. We then walked up Calton Road to the station. There are a few 10-minute spaces available at the station entrance which we would have used if we’d known about them! Tricky to get into and park in the assigned space in the under-the-building garage. Definitely need a small, short car. Apartment - largely as pictured but written description is out of date and inaccurate in places. Living room did not appear to be “newly renovated” but it was comfortable enough, light and spacious. Bathroom was not “spacious” nor “newly renovated”. Adequate for our needs and clean other than the skirting board. Plenty of toilet paper (mentioned in other reviews as lacking). Kitchen - reasonable supply of dishes and cutlery, a cafetiere but not a coffee machine. There was a washing machine (mentioned when we booked) but it was out of order (has since been removed from the listed equipment). Bedrooms are not “directly connected” to the bathroom but have access to it from the entrance area. My husband found the double bed uncomfortable. I found it unpleasantly smelly (old sweat). No mention of what to do with the keys when leaving. We moved the car then posted the keys through the letter box of the apartment.

This is a spacious 2 bedroom loft located in an incredibly walkable area. The loft has all the amenities you could need including parking for a small car. We enjoyed staying here once we were settled in the loft. Things to note: Parking is available but it is in a very tiny garage underneath the structure. You will probably need help getting the car in and out but it can be done. There are about 4 flights of steep stairs that you need to navigate to get to the loft. You have to pick up your keys at a kiosk in the train station. If not arriving at the train station this can be quite cumbersome and hard to find exactly where you need to go.
