The Area:

New Town in Edinburgh is a stunning example of Georgian architecture and urban planning. Built in stages between 1767 and 1850, it was designed to address the overcrowding in the Old Town. Its wide streets, spacious squares, and beautiful gardens provide a striking contrast to the medieval layout of the Old Town. The area is characterised by its elegant, neoclassical buildings, grand townhouses, and cobbled streets. New Town is not only a residential haven but also a bustling area filled with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Its central location offers easy access to cultural landmarks such as the Scottish National Gallery and Princes Street Gardens. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, New Town combines historical charm with modern conveniences, making it one of Edinburgh's most desirable areas.
