      Grosvenor Hotel Review

The hotel was nothing special, we stayed in the Deluxe Double Room. The bedding was comfortable however the bed itself, was squeaky. Which meant any slight movements you could probably hear from the room beside us. There was a couple of creaky floor boards too. Other than that the room was okay. The lobby area was nice and the reception staff were welcoming. The location of the hotel was great! 10 minute walk into the centre and about a 20 minute walk to the castle. All in all, I would say that I would stay here again purely for the location, however the rooms could definitely do with a refurb.

Hotel was close to Haymarket Railway Station. Less than 5 minutes walk away. As I booked in I was told I was staying in building diagonal across the street in their town house , Unfortunately my bedroom was on the second floor and lift was out of action, I was offered help but I said no I’m ok. Bedroom was clean and tidy. Also en-suite. As I had arrived later in day it was welcoming in the sense bedroom side light was on, in my case very good. Bedroom was quite and you could have a cup of tea or coffee . Breakfast was served in main building. Good selection of cereals and hot food. Only complaint I had was toaster was a six slice and came out burnt as you did not have any control of it , but in saying that, good value for money spent. Yes I would go back but would like a bedroom on ground floor if possible as I’m visually impaired.
