Beautifully upgraded 2 bedroom 1st floor flat in heart of Edinburgh's old town

If you are looking for a central apartment and wanting to experience historical Edinburgh then this is the place to be. This fantastic apartment is located in the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh just a stones through from Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. There are a great selection of pubs, restaurants, antique shops etc on your doorstep. This apartment is available for Self Catering & Holiday Lets, Short Term & Corporate Lets, City & Weekend Breaks and the Festival.

The apartment has been stylishly decorated throughout and consists of two double bedrooms, one a very large master bedroom. The good size living room contains a large corner sofa and is open to the fully equipped brand new modern kitchen, which has a breakfast table.
There is a winding staircase to get to the front door so the apartment is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues.

Incredible location right on Grassmarket and Victoria streets. Easy access to shopping, dining, and only a few minutes walk to the Castle!The host responds quickly to questions, and the whole process went smoothly!

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Comfortable and safe 2BR apt in amazing location (Victoria St and Grassmarket). Note: Apt is on 1st floor (not ground level) and entrance is up a flight of narrow/tight spiral staircase. Also, due to it's location (near many lively pubs), it can be quite noisy. The apt was ideal for our family with two teens needing separate beds. Walking distance to everything -- and the hop-on-off bus stop just across the street. Hope to visit again!

Cannot beat this location — Right on Victoria Street/Grassmarket! Tons of bars and restaurants steps from the door. The apartment had lots of character but updated bathroom and kitchen. Plus a dryer!

Lovely old place!

This is a great place to stay to visit Old Edinburgh. I love quirky old places right in the heart of historic areas. The place is old so don’t expect a big modern house. It was a bit noisy at night but we had earplugs. It was clean, convenient, and comfortable. Loved it!

Great Location!

This property was in a great location for exploring Old Town Edinburgh. It is right in the heart of shops, dining, pubs, and historical sites. My only caution would be that, because of several pubs nearby, the street noise is a bit louder late into the evening. We traveled in the off season, but during busy times I can imagine that it could be much louder and more raucous outside.

Fantastic Location.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location. Brand new bathroom which was lovely although property quite dusty (maybe due to bathroom being finished the day before?). Very central and easy to get to places on foot as long as you don’t mind a hill or two! Would definitely recommend.

Great trip

The location is incredibly well placed and Gavin gave all the informations needed, the price is very good, the appartment is a bit noisy and some things like the bathroom were just a bit unclean but nothing that bad tho. Overall a very good deal !

First and foremost, NOT A GROUND FLOOR FLAT as advertised in title. It’s my bad for not reading all the way to the end of the full description where it states there are stairs (32 of them in a very narrow spiral staircase, plus the 4 just to enter the building). Very misleading! This was not convenient when you’re transporting 60lb suitcases and a 4’x2’x3’ bike case (because husband was racing in France), or in my particular situation, a bad knee. Once you get in to the flat, all is well. Very cozy with lots of old world charm. Bath and kitchen upgraded very tidy. Great views. Location is in the middle of old town. Groceries are a bit of a walk, but not too bad. If you are in the younger side and enjoy a very lively pub scene at night, this is your place. It gets pretty noisy late at night. But we wore earplugs and slept just fine. Host was communicative and provided plenty of keys. I would however recommend proving operation manuals for large appliances for those of us who come in from other countries.

This is great and fully functional apartment right in the heart of the city. It is close to all the tourist attractions and had everything we needed to spend a comfortable few days there. It did get a little loud at the weekend due to the proximity to the center but the room at the back quiet and we knew that going in due to the great location. We will definitely look to book again next time we come to edinburgh.

Great little apartment in the middle of the city

This place is a no frills, affordable two bedroom apt at the bottom of one of the iconic streets in Edinburgh. It can get loud at night as there are several late night clubs/bars nearby but you quickly get used to the city noises. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location on the Grass Market with many shops and restaurants. Just a short walk to the Royal Mile. Entry is though narrow steep stairs.

The location could not have been better; value was exceptional. It must be made clear, however, that it takes two flights of stairs (32 steps in a rather narrow spiral staircase) to gain access to the flat. Having said that, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing stay in Edinburgh--Would love to stay here again!

Had a great time here for our stay in Edinburgh. This is a fun and lively area. The home was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Two very comfortable beds and a clothes washer and dryer are a big plus. I do think folks should be aware the unit is up a flight of stairs on a spiral staircase, so be prepared to carry any luggage or bags when you arrive and depart. This wasn't a problem for us at all though. I would love to stay here again if we ever go back!

Great Location

Comfortable stay. We had plumbing issues that the owner communicated well to help resolve. Note that "first floor" is up narrow, circular stairs (~2 flights). We were surprised and not thrilled about hauling large suitcases up & down it. Overall, comfortable beds & plenty of space for our party of 3. It was great to walk out and be in the heart of Old Town!

Tattoo Visit

Location very good. Busy area. So noisy at night. The flat is good for getting around. We had trouble getting in as we did not realise we had to push service button first and then use the keys for the flat upstairs. Plenty of clean linen and towels if you are staying for a longer period.
