"Beautiful place for a nice quiet and close to nature vacation. Pros: 1. Beautiful surroundings 2. Quiet and peaceful 3. Easy parking 4. Restaurant inside the property is pretty good. 5. Rooms are clean and well maintained (there are plenty of ants though, however bit expected in this area to be honest) 6. Verizon phone network is quite good, although don’t expect fast internet. Areas may improve: 1. Park tickets are not included, so to get in you need to purchase the tickets separately, however it’s not expensive. 2. Weak WiFi"

"Everything ok"

"The major reason that I am giving this hotel a very high rating is due to its customer service. The first night of our stay there was construction going on on a dining room just under our room. The crew worked into the evening, past 8:00 and we could hear the noise. In the morning a staff member asked how our night was, we mentioned the noise. They apologized and stated that was not supposed to happen, said they would make sure it didn't happen again, and immediately moved us to another room away from the construction site. It was a much better room but we were not charge any difference in price. We stayed in this room for the rest of our stay. I appreciate the response from management. The facilities themselves are very nice, with additional factors, such as large sitting rooms that made our stay very enjoyable."

"This was the perfect place to return to after a day of hiking. Great kitchen, front porch and back yard, nice views and hot tub under the stars. Very clean. Great trails just down the road. Thank you!"

"Overall it was an excellent stay! Almost everything was great, including the breakfast! The only part that was a little dirty was the pool area, but it didn't seem well used. "

"Booked a large suite for a multi-night stay for a wedding in Hume. This appears to be a recent renovation, and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the space! You essentially rent two rooms with an adjoining door between them, one of which is your standard bedroom, mini-fridge and bathroom (with a vanity mirror with integrated LED lights) and the other which contains a kitchenette with full-sized fridge, couch (which can fold out to another bed) with side tables and a coffee table. Plates, utencils and limited cookware are provided, though you will hand-wash dishes. It was essentially a small apartment, and could have comfortably fit a family! My dog stayed with me for free, and there's a partially-fenced area across from the pool where pets can relieve themselves (though few people seem to clean up after them). We enjoyed walking around the city square just blocks from the hotel, and explored the Greenway in town during our stay. It's a quick drive to Shenandoah Park as well as some caverns, though we didn't take advantage of that this trip. The space where complimentary breakfast is provided is also a thai restaurant during lunch/dinner hours. Again, didn't take advantage of it during this trip, but would definitely try it another time. All in all, very charming little town with a comfortable space to stay and explore!"

"The room was clean and cheerful. The manager was friendly and helpful. There is a microwave and refrigerator, but no hairdryer or coffee in the room. There is coffee in the morning in the office. For the price, it was a very good deal. "
