It was one of the most beautiful bed and breakfast places I've stayed. The house is decorated so beautiful and the check-in is easy with plenty of parking. The local staff were super nice and very polite. They also have beach bikes that you can ride around town on. I actually did that myself and rode down to a wonderful Steakhouse on the waterfront. I will be booking room again in the near future.
I loved the character of the historic property! We were also given the opportunity to see part of the other 3 houses that were not accupied. The breakfast was fantastic!
Really great place to stay to take the day to explore the area. Easy walk to downtown and the waterfront. We found a great place to have dinner in downtown Edenton and have a few drinks and then had just enough time to walk to the waterfront and catch the sunset. We had requested a bottle of wine for our return and were able to take that and watch the traffic go by on the large front porch during the evening.
The breakfast the next day was fantastic and we got tips of some boat trips and other excursions we could try. A very relaxing day. So glad we picked the Inner Banks Inn as our hub for the day!
The staff is great and super helpful. There are few dining options in the area. Only three restaurants were open for dinner (none walkable), a Subway, a Mexican place, and Herringbone, which had no outside seating. Breakfast was only so-so this time. They had no avocado as promised and the English muffins for the Benedict were cold and too hard to cut. Server was excellent. And walking up three flights of stairs with bags is a little tough; guess we need to book earlier. Would still go back.

Disliked: Cleanliness
I was very disappointed in that the room was very nice but had not been cleaned other than the linens. Floors and baseboards, etc. were dirty. There were cobwebs with bugs hanging on the light fixture above mirror in bathroom. Bad lighting on the stairs which could result in falling. Even after asking, could only get one package of creamer for coffee in the room. Would not stay here again. The place was close to things to do and places to eat. The breakfast served was great, according to my husband. I do not eat breakfast, just coffee thank you. Bed was very comfortable and room was very pretty.
Really enjoyed our brief stay at the Inner Banks Inn. Great location, within walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Beautiful town. The Inn has large, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Nice quiet area for a relaxing getaway.
The staff is so friendly. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed biking around town with the bicycles they provided and enjoyed sitting on the front porch. We would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at The Inner Banks was outstanding from beginning to end - from the accommodations to the staff, it was top notch! The Town of Edenton was amazing - full of rich history and beautifully restored homes from the 1700's. We felt like a part of the community by the time we left. We will be back for sure!
In town for work, but this was a wonderful break from chain hotels and cookie cutter rooms. Friendly service, very clean rooms and bathrooms (and I am picking about bathrooms), and good location for exploring Edenton and the Outer Banks. Breakfast was also excellent - worth getting up for. Just remember this is an older building and it doesn't have an elevator. I would definitely stay here again.
This Bed and breakfast was beyond our expectations. Impeccably furnished, spacious and staffed by people who wanted our stay to be perfect. There was something wonderful to look at in every direction.
There were several buildings on the groundskeeper , each unique, and historic all located together and near a central brick patio with a fountain. The breakfast was in their TABLE Restaurant, next to the patio.
We thought we were the only guests, because everything was so quiet and peaceful, but at breakfast we encountered guests from 5-6 other rooms.
Breakfast was delicious; eggs your way, bacon or sausage, grits or potatoes... juice coffee.
