Overall very clean and organized. The hot tub was amazing! Our cabin was pet friendly but too many strict rules for the pups to be dog friendly. We had a great time!
We had a great stay. Clean and staff was nice. If you have late check in make sure to check messages because you can't check in unless you fill out that paperwork. They called prior to help realize that.
This is a nice little cabin to get away from everything. My husband and I enjoyed a dip in the hot tub while it snowed lightly. The check in process was extremely easy and cery accommodating. Thanks for a nice stay.
We stayed for 2 nights with three of us. The futon couch pulls out to a bed and we all slept very comfortably. The kitchen is small but well equipped and served our needs perfectly. The grill is a picnic style grill that is on a pole that is permanent affixed. The fire pit and hot tub were great perks. The hosts included little surprise gift bags for the eclipse and it was such a nice touch! The store has wood and other last minute needed items. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful!
Went here for a quick trip for my sister's birthday in early May. Early in the season so we basically had the place to ourselves! The entrance is right off the highway on a hill. When I pulled in I didn't know that I needed to immediately pull into 1 of the 2 tiny parking spots to the right of the building to check in. Caused a bit of a scary traffic situation because someone with a boat pulled in behind me blocking the road. Signage needs updated IMO. Once we found our cabin it went well but Carpenter bees were crazy outside the doors. Had to dodge them going in and out! We were laying down the futon and I thought that I had stepped on a nail but it turned out to be one of those fockers and it literally had to be pulled off my toe!!!! Don't be fooled, they DO sting!!! Luckily we had Benadryl and ice! The futon should not be advertised as place to sleep for an adult unless you are accustomed to sleeping on bumpy rocks. King sized bed upstairs was super comfy. (Thank goodness I got to sleep in it the second night because 2 people left) The hot tub, path to the lake, winery, Benny's Off the Water were great!! Would probably stay again with the knowledge I have now.
The property itself is very nice and we loved the location.Aside from the check-in process with an unfriendly and seemingly irritated front desk female worker, the rest of the staff was great. Apparently if your dog sitter falls through at the last minute, then the world is on fire at the resort. Now, we're not talking about a 100 lb. pitbull or anything. A 5 lb. 10-week old cockapoo which we brought into the office with us. She made a huge ordeal by us not indicating we had a dog in a pet-friendly cabin!!! Apparently they need to "dog proof" the cabin? Which I understood was basically taking up their cheap Dollar Tree rugs in the cabin. Seriously? That is what got under her skin. She finally conceded that we could stay there and I paid the extra $20/day to have my minature dog with us. Not the way you want to start off your vacation as my wife wanted to choke her out for making such a ruckus as if we were there to burn the cabin down or something.
However, once we arrived at the cabin, we were very happy with the accomodations. The interior of the cabin was just as pictured and clean. The hot tub is a bit old and outdated, but did function. The refrigerator is a bit small and not condusive to an extended stay for folks who like to eat in. The upstairs bed was comfortable and provided good rest. Futon, while we didn't utilize the bed portion, seemed almost broken and pliable. Overall though, a good stay and we will return. Great location for park and marina, and casino.
Small but quiet place for a family vacation. Property manager was great and worked with us to get the air fixed when it went out mid stay. I thinking sleeping 4 is a stretch though. We had to use an air mattress for our youngest. Other than that it was a very nice place. We enjoyed our stay.
This place was everything we hoped it would be and more. Description is spot-on and everything exceeded expectations. The hot tub really cinched it ;) We had a delay on check-in and they were nice enough to let us do a late check in - texting us the gate code (security!) and lock-box code. Everyone super nice and helpful! We will be back!
The place was very nice the first night the heat was not working in the cabin we were staying in without any hesitation the owner came and looked at it realized that he wasnt gonna beable to fix it and moved us to another cabin that was actually bigger than the one we rented! It was a little further away from french lick then i had thought about 20 mins but not terrible! Theres a dollar general and a few gas stations about a mile or so away! I would definitely recommend to stay here!
Overall, I can't really complain about the stay. It was in a good location for my buddy and I to go check out lots of caves in southern Indiana. The location of this particular cabin isn't great, but the reality is we just used it to have a place to relax at night and sleep. Only real complaint I suppose is that the hot tub isn't an asset....you can only pull the lid off of half the tub and the buttons don't really work...so it's a ten percent chance you actually can get the jets going. However, that's not the real reason you would rent this cabin so it's not that big of a deal. Definitely worth the cost here, but be aware of location and amenities here.
My boyfriend and two friends stayed here for one night, and it was a great experience!! The size of the futon isn’t specified on the listing, so I thought it was a queen because that’s all I’ve ever seen, but it’s a double. It didn’t damage our experience at all, but I wanted to let everyone know in the reviews in case that may be a deal breaker 🙂 outside of that, everything was amazing and just as expected! When we arrived at the resort, although we were almost late, the lady we worked with was very nice. When we arrived at the cabin it was tidy and the hot tub was clean and already hot for us! We were in the hot tub most of the night, and all the cabins were far enough apart that we felt we had some privacy. Overall, great experience! We went to Wilstem (Wildlife Reserve) after we left and we got to feed and interact w so many animals, so that’s a great attraction this cabin is close to!
