"Absolutely amazing.
Even the morning was cloudy and overwhelmed with fogs, the view was spectacular with view of 'Abbaye de San Galgano'.
The breakfast buffet was also more than delicious. Specifically, the salamis were cut from the staffs, not those bought from manufactured products, which also tasted great.
The person who helped our check-in and -out was the only person fluent in English, but you can conversate with other staffs with no problem using your body language, don't worry about this....

"We had an excellent experience at Hotel Athena. We chose this hotel mostly because they had car parking included and the room price was reasonable, not knowing much else about where to stay in Siena. The town center is a short walk from the hotel and the staff was very helpful. They recommended a restaurant that was one of the best places we ate on our trip to Italy. Beautiful views from the rooftop restaurant as well. "

"Amazing pool which we had to ourselves all week. The owners Luca and Leticia were very helpful & lovely. It was nice to know that they were close at hand at the same time as feeling we were free to make ourselves at home. The only negatives were that it wasn't made clear from the photos when we booked that the third bedroom (which is a loft room) is open to the stairs with no door so there is a feeling of a lack of privacy. It also gets very hot up there. This coupled with the fact that the Aircon unit wasn't working properly meant that our daughter ended up sleeping in the spare bed in our room for the majority of our stay. It was a particularly hot week in August which also meant that we found it a bit hard to relax downstairs inside as the sofas were covered in a synthetic fabric and there wasn't Aircon downstairs. Overall though we had a very relaxing and memorable week exploring Siena and driving further afield to Volterra, Perugia and San Gim and watching all the birds and lizards in the garden. "
