" I would recommend this hotel, but there are a few areas where improvement is needed.
The standout feature is definitely the location—it's hard to beat. The views from a beachfront room are stunning, and the rooftop is truly spectacular. The evening cocktails and snacks were a lovely touch and added to the overall experience. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay.
That said, the rooms are quite outdated, with older furniture that could use refreshing. The walls are also very thin, which made it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms. While the bathrooms were clean, they are also dated and there was a noticeable sewage smell at times, which detracted from the overall comfort.
With some updates and attention to these issues, this hotel could offer an even better experience."
"I stayed 9 nights at Hotel Olímpico as a solo traveler and had a relaxing, well-rounded boutique experience. The hotel features clean, modern shared spaces and a peaceful atmosphere. My standard mountain-view room was comfortable overall, though pillows were a bit stiff and housekeeping wasn’t always fully consistent.
The standout here is the service and dining. Mariana at the front desk was exceptional—multilingual, kind, and incredibly helpful. Alysia was also warm and welcoming, and Daniele at the bar makes a fantastic B52 and just an overall kind and great person. Gino, the service manager, keeps everything running smoothly.
The included breakfast is a highlight—fresh pastries, made-to-order waffles/crepes, eggs, meats, fruit, pizza, and a barista coffee station. I also dined at the restaurant multiple nights—great food, presentation, and fast service.
The private beach is beautiful and well-equipped with lounge chairs. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to Salerno’s train station and port, which is extremely useful since taxis can cost €40+.
Location is quiet and near the beach, though a bit removed from other attractions. Overall, a great stay with thoughtful amenities and standout staff."
"Great Location, Though Mind the Early Checkout
I had a pleasant stay here, and for the price point, it is a very decent option. The absolute highlight is the location, which is amazing and made getting around incredibly convenient.
However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind:
• Checkout Time: At 10:30 AM, this is the earliest checkout I’ve ever experienced. It felt a bit rushed, so be sure to plan your morning accordingly.
• Breakfast: While convenient to have on-site, I found the selection to be a bit underwhelming and basic.
Overall, if you are looking for a well-located home base and don't mind an early start on your final day, it’s a solid choice for the value."
"Loved this place. Nothing bad to say at all! So clean! Beds were comfortable. Rooms large! Breakfast was great! Location is unbeatable. Yes yes yes to staying again. And we are fussy travellers. It’s an old seminary converted 2025 beside the amalfi church."
"Property is beautiful! Staff is friendly! View is spectacular. Great escape from the crazy town.
Lights in BR not working and we asked to fix and they never did. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets were not soft at all. The front desk said they could bring a pad but never did and never followed up either.
We paid for the “ Premium” room and you only get 2 waters with the room and no ice! A glass of ice is $5 . The bar was even instructed to not give it out without paying . If someone pays almost $500 per night I don’t expect to pay for a cup of ice.
The staff in dining room and the van drivers were super nice and friendly and helpful.
Overall beautiful hotel but needs to work on service and amenities for the price they charge. Not the service for what they charge."
"This was our third stay, and it somehow keeps getting better every time. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and were welcomed so warmly—it truly felt special from the moment we arrived. The team goes above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both personal and effortless. Our suite was incredible, and every detail of our stay exceeded expectations.
Even in the hours before our departure, when we were quietly dealing with the loss of our beloved dog, the kindness and care around us meant more than we could fully express. This place and the people here hold such a special place in our hearts—we can’t wait to return."
"Staff was wonderful and the apartment, hotel, and beach club was incredible. WAAY better than the chaos of the towns (although we loved Minori, it was quieter and the best!). Free breakfast was great but the dinner restaurant felt a bit overpriced and the food was just average)"
