"The redesign of the building is lovely, and we were really looking forward to our stay but it did not quite go to plan. Our room was next to the air vent for the kitchen which was extremely noisy, as were the kitchen deliveries during the night. The restaurant served my pregnant wife a meal with an alcoholic relish despite us checking it with them beforehand several times. The manager denied this the next day until we showed him a photograph! We are trying to support local pubs and hotels but we would not stay here again. "

"Lovely friendly recetion staff. We stayed in a quiet ground floor room with our dog which was very large and had seaviews. We were close to entrance to garden and the bar/ restruant. Car parking is £9 per night. Breakfast is a buffet with good choice for £12.50 pp. They also do dog food. Location is great being few minutes from sea front and restruants. Town centre is about 15 minutes walk along the beach. Torquay is lovely but we also visited Paignton nearby which we found had more going on. There are lots of walks for dogs in and around the area. The hotel was great although a little tired. Backs onto a bowls club and crazy golf and gardens. "
