On check in, I was allocated a wrong room which had a carpet and musty.
The lady reallocated me to the correct room which had a broken mirror.
Showers not working, broken wooden floor, not opening windows.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Terrible experience
Disappointing for a 4star. Limited breakfast options, simple things like, no fried or boiled or poached eggs, no filter coffee. Only one plug point in the room. Iron in room had no settings and I ended up scorching my garment. Noise was on another level from staff, and when asked to please quiet down a bit , was laughed at. The pics are nothing like the actual venue. Pool was green, so in scorching 30• weather you could not swim either. I would not stay again or recommend either.
This establishment is safe in a quiet environment next to a lot of amenities. There is a bar. There is a free breakfast. The Internet is not good, and security guards lock the main door of the building until 5:30 am. Other than that, it worth every penny we paid for.
First Given Garden Cottage Room 20, Room was smelling, Geyser was repaired. . Yellow Water Even after running tap for 30 minutes, Wash Basin out of Bathroom, In Shower there is no soap holder, bath Room no towel hanger. . After shower have to go out wet to get towel from room, Making whole floor wet. Bathroom Lamp was Fuse, If leave Bathroom Windows open. . Seeing people passing by. . . No privacy.
After all complain shifted to Room 8, which was very Good.
Breakfast was Good, Though we are Veg. ate only Cereals, Bread / Butter, Coffee
locatipon, is very town central, there's schools around that can be a little noisy around the arrival and closure times. So one needs to be very careful when leaving and coming back in the afternoon.
The venue itself, was ok. I think for the price I paid it was ok. Breakfast was less variety on offer then other general places. If you are going for business trip, wifi is superb. Overall i was ok.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
A bit af a disappointment
Area a bit of a surprise on the down side, not sure how the 4 stars was achieved... problems with plumbing (never fixed the 3 nights I was there ) WiFi - hmm gave up used 3g - seems like the breakfast is finished at 0800 - also on sundays ...... will not stay here again ....
The property is not in the best part of town and the building itself is a bit run down. The room was tiny by South African Standards with many 3 star establishments having much bigger rooms.
Staff are friendly and efficient. Security personnel is very hospitable, welcoming and helpful. The place is perfectly close to amenities. It is clean and comfortable. The Restaurant says 'come back for more.' Great cullinary skills and flexibility to accommodate guest needs. Definitely to be recommended.
Stay was very relaxing. The accommodation was superb value for the money. Very professionally maintained with very welcoming and helpful staff and owner. Breakfast was great. Parking was convenient. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning, clean bathroom and ambience around the room.
The guesthouse even accommodated a last minute change in our plans with a refund which was amazing. Customer comes first here.
Will recommend to other travelers. Will visit again.
Minor observation: The bathroom for room 20 that we stayed in was missing fittings for hanging clothes and tray for soap etc.
The room was very neat and clean and all facilities were great as far as the room was concerned, however, there were children playing in reception which does not create a good impression as a business venue and two families were placed next to us with their children running up and down the passages, banging their doors, screeching and causing chaos. I called reception to complain but it did not stop until after 11h30 and then then started again at 6 am the next morning. It could be an amazing venue, but needs to be run more professionally. The breakfast was excellent and great value for money. I believe that the owners should address the management issues as it could be an excellent venue if operated correctly. It did rain, so we understand the water and dirty carpets, but it had stopped for two days prior to our arrival, so, the water could have been swept off the staircase and the carpets could have been cleaned during this time. Just a matter of lack of professional management I believe, otherwise a good venue.
The room was not up to scratch(paint coming off & the floor not properly cleaned). The shower head needs to be changed as it produces not enough water. Not a 4 star in my view.
I arrived and was mmediately welcomed with smiles and helpful staff... i was taken on a tour of the premises... lovely artwork... environment was warm and inviting
Beautiful room, quiet, clean, bed looked very comfy, friendly staff and a feeling of safety
My stay has been extended and in a change of room.... I will add another review at the end of my stay...
The staff were helpful and friendly and the property is beautiful, but there were some major issues with the room: No dustbin, no bed lamps, heater only blew freezing air, not enough blankets in room, not enough towels in room for two people, no mirror in bathroom, not enough light in vanity area to do hair and make-up, not enough coffee/tea/water in room for two people, no telephone in room, curtains didn't close properly, bathroom windows couldn't close, shower head not spraying sufficient water.
