    Bring your own small boat and get ready to enjoy life at the lake at this wonderful, family-friendly home. Set on almost three wooded acres and boasting 130-feet of southern exposure and level frontage, this delightful, two-story getaway features a well-equipped, full kitchen to help you prepare all your favorite recipes, a rustic dining table, and three distinct living spaces on both floors with comfortable furnishings, a main-level fireplace, and an efficient wood-burning stove in the lower-level family room. You'll also find plenty of additional tables and chairs for mealtimes, game nights, or laptops for remote work or schooling. And outside, fire up your gas grill for summertime cookouts, relax on the furnished deck overlooking the large yard, or walk over to the dock to head out in your boat for fun-filled days on the lakes.

Family trip

The check in and out process was very easy and quick. The location was very nice with a lot of wild life. We were visited by many white tail deer in the evening.

Camp visiting weekend

The house was very convenient to visiting overnight camper and enjoyable. The cleanliness was a negative (lots of issues with that), the house was old, but overall ok. House was spacious and the bathrooms were updated nicely. Outdoor area of the property was great- large space and very pretty.

The place was great and served my group well for our fantasy draft weekend. The house is close to downtown and restaurants. The property does have lake access and it's a short walk from the house to the dock. Had no issues at all during our two day stay. The house came with everything you'd need for a weekend. Would stay again.

Location was great

Distance to the snowmobile race track was great. The house was a good size for the party we had and clean. A couple items for improvement would be to have the heat turned on prior to our arrival as it was 47 degrees in the basement when we arrived. A list of kitchen items would have been helpful too. We found there wasn’t enough cookware to really cook in bulk for the amount of people we had. All in all we had a great trip and the house was perfect for us.

Private country setting, great location

The house worked great for what we needed. We liked the back yard. I'm only disappointed that since we booked so far in advance, the charge was nearly double what it would have cost if I had booked later. Our friends were able to get larger nicer homes for a better price. There is no price guarantee. If you reserve a house then the price goes down substantially before you travel, there's nothing you can do. I think if we had paid less, my perception of the house would have been different. It was quiet and peaceful, I just wouldn't stay here again for what we paid. It smelled a bit musty, but we were able to open up the doors and windows. The bathrooms are very nice. Thanks for sharing your home.

Family/Ice fishing weekend

Property was very clean, decorated beautifully and perfect size. Careful or the bear in the lower family room will get you (I turned and walked right into it's claws. Lol)! We saw multiple deer right at the house at various times of the day. The 3 season room is beautiful and so many big windows looking out to the lake. A couple things should be noted. Description advertises the wood burner. They should add that the wood is not included anywhere on the property. They have a nice stand next to it for wood, but no wood. And none supplied we found out after messaging property management.They should add a how to note next the wood burner because if you don't get the flue itself very hot (which is not normal) the entire house fills with smoke. I apologize to whoever is staying after us if the house smells like smoke. Also, the steps and deck were not shoveled and the steps were very slippery. There's sand and a shovel right on the porch, salt downstairs. We ended up cleaning them up ourselves after we got there at dark and we're trying to unload.

Kitchen could have used more basic utensils, but we managed.Could not keep dishwasher detergent holder closed. Did not use dishwasher for this reason. There was plenty of dish soap for handwashing.

Catfish House On The Lake

House is not on the lake. You can see a small portion of the lake which is at least 100 yards away. House only has a window air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom and compressor hammered so loud we turned it off. TV is only good if you subscribe to a streaming service. Positive is house is very nice and has plenty of room for parking. Isolated and very quiet.

Property misrepresented as non smoking

The house completely reeks like cigarette smoke. It is listed as a non smoking property and all you can smell is cigarettes the moment you walk in. We found 3 different ash trays throughout the property. I contacted Vacasa and the local owner and they did not respond. When finally they did respond 5 days later, they denied my request for a refund or discount as they misrepresented the property and they simply denied the property smelled like smoke. They absolutely did not care and did nothing. I would not recommend staying here if you do not want to be in a place where it undoubtedly smells like cigarette smoke. Poor overall experience with the property and Vacasa.

Not worth the high cost

So this is advertised as a non smoking property. When we walked in the door it was hot and humid and immediately smelled like a smokers house. An ashtray was on top of the refrigerator. The AC unit in top floor was non functional. I went to empty the dehumidifier and mold came flowing out of demudifier. Partially cleaned out the two moldy dehumidifiers, opened all windows. Originally found and booked this with other than VRBO and kept refusing my credit card??. I then booked through VRBO and cost me $300 more but seemed to accept the same credit card?? Missing any basics like chairs for outside, lighting less than optimal, pots with dead plants on the deck, response from contracted management was less than helpful as they asked me for video and photos(which I gave them). Questions like "is there ash in the ashtray". Management responded again with "Our local team has already been notified about the issues you reported, including the overflowing trash, the lack of sheets on the bed, and the wet sheets in the washing machine. They will be addressing these concerns as soon as possible..." Of course I checked out well before anyone actually contacted me. Those other issues they added had nothing to do with my concerns. We were bicycling and honestly was completely congested for two days of my ride and was far less than happy at not being able to breathe well. Stay away. Property and location has potential but missing basics. At this price point most will expect more.

Loved our stay. The home was spacious, comfortable with beautiful views from the deck and main living area. There was a private dock, which we were able to access from Catfish lake. We look forward to bringing the family back!
