Due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling now comes with more challenges than in the past. Read through these worthwhile tips before jumping on your flight to Dyrøya:

• Find out what rules and restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check before you lock in your flight.
• When you go through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be asked to lower it briefly for identification purposes. Travellers who refuse to wear a mask may face civil penalties and may also be escorted from the terminal.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer. Instead, place your pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will need to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Place any personal items (like your phone and wallet) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA officer will need to open your bag for inspection.
