It was not verybeasy to find at first and we were unsure about the parking. However once we arrived and were reassured that road side parking was free, we felt more relaxed. The staff were very friendly, and we managed to communicate in broken English. The rooms are spacious only downside was the free internet which did not connect very well. BreKfast was good, selection of various continental foods. We would definitely stay again (perfect for just one night)

This hotel is definitely not a 3 star, the room / bathroom is very dated and dreary. The breakfast was fine and worth the money, regretfully the road outside was being dug up which made it very very noisy during our stay. Sorry but I can’t recommend this hotel.

Close to the center of Dunkirk with easy access to bars, shops and restaurants. Half hour drive to the ferry port.

Close to airport. Friendly service. Room was clean and bed excellent. Shuttle bus for airport on time. Parking 12€ per day, at site, security with fence. Will come back. Half price compared to hotel at the airport.. only minus is 2 km drive to terminal

The property was close to every attraction in Dunkirk. This was a huge plus. We Didn't eat breakfast (@ EUR 10 per person) but walked out to many bakeries and the tea room in the Jean Bart place (3 min walk) which was cheaper. The room didn't have the family room i booked but they accommodated by giving two inter-connecting rooms which was really good management of them.. The beds were low, and was a bit oldish mattresses but it was fine for our short weekend stay. Over all, i'd really recommend this hotel as the staff were friendly and accomodating.

The room was very tired . The showers were very poor etc. The breakfast we paid 30 euros for four was really poor . The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A good Welcome
Comfy bed, good sized room, very powerful shower. Black out curtain was very effective. There’s parking at the front of the hotel - between 6pm and 9am it’s free and you can just buy a new ticket from machine to extend your parking. Think it was less than 9 euros for a day. There are other car parks near by, but one of them has a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays so don’t park there!

When we arrived, the property had a plumbing problem that made several of their rooms unusable. So, they rebooked us at another hotel, which was fine, but they told the hotel we needed one twin room, when in fact we had reserved a room with 3 twin beds. Thankfully, new hotel had one room left available and gave it to us fir no extra charge.

Get less what you pay for:(( I found the price for what we’ve got too high. someone else previously mentioned a ‘strange smell’ in the room... I can confirm this was also the case in one of our rooms! The breakfast was sooo poor! We paid €10 for adult and €5 child, only to find rotten or tinned fruit as option, only bread or choc croissant for pastry, and very limited variety. When I asked if they had cooked breakfast such as bacon and pointed out that the fruit was rotten and would like some fresh fruit for my kids or perhaps plain croissant the waitress went livid and kept repeating ‘bacon!-ha’! Nevertheless we were charged the full price and ZERO apology!

We actually did not stay at the Welcome Hotel, as when we checked, we were informed that the hotel had no hot water. The front desk person made another reservation for us at a nearby hotel and told us that if that hotel charged us more than we were to pay for the Welcome, the Welcome would cover the additional charges. Great service :-) i just felt bad that the welcome Hotel.lost all that revenue.

Convenient for arrival at port
Hotel staff were friendly. The location was good for the centre. The downside was that the rooms had Yale type keys and so there was quite a lot crashing and banging of sprung doors and locks being turned. A little bit tired and the free parking was after 6pm until 9.20 am (1st 20 mins free in the morning) on the street.

Great rooms.
It's in the centre of town with great amenities nearby....train station.beach 15 min walk. Nice quiet place except on Wednesday and Saturday...market day. Always someone on the desk. Very helpful staff. A very pleasant stay.

We arrived early July the room was sweltering it was particularly hot that day I dont suppose this is usually the case. Secured parking is available. The staff were nice. The hotel is tired and needs work.

We tried to add parking to our booking, but the Hotel only has / had 3 parking spaces when we visited. You can park on the street but it will cost you. Our room was quite small but covered the basics. Pillows soft and small, 2 out of 3 lamps did not work. Our room was at the back and looked out over a park area which got quite noisy. Breakfast was OK but paper cups in the room for cofee is a real no no. Would love to go back to Dunkirk, but not to the Welcome Hotel.

Good price Great location.
Great central location at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was a full selection of cold meats, breads,cheeses,cereal,pastries the list goes on.Clean and comfortable with helpful and pleasant staff.

Place was a joke!!!!
Stood at the desk for 30 minutes before a member of staff showed up without an apology for our wait. Then told us the lift was broke and we had to climb 3 flights of stairs.Also the car park was full so we had to park on main shopping road, only to realise our car was all scratched the next morning.Room smelt mouldy and 2 single beds pushed together although we booked a double with shower, which it didn't have. Nothing like on the photos at all and would never set foot back in the place.

Very very poor .....
The bed was clean and comfortable....How couldn't have a bath because the bath plug was broken.... The toilet had been used BUT NOT FLUSHED so it probable not been cleaned.....the bathroom/toilet door did not close unless you locked it ...(so if you had a small child they would have to lock themselves in not good) the extractor fan in the toilet/bathroom didn't work very embarrassing !!!! they couldn't supply 2 single beds only a double the arrival time of 3 pm is a little late we had to hang around the town for over 3 hours (when you think the out time is 10 am and the in time is 3 pm that's a gap of 5 hours ???)

Just as you would expect for a town centre budget hotel - perfect for an overnighter. Room quite spacious, comfotable bed, bathroom clean. Good position for main attractions. Staff helpful and obliging.

I expected better.... even with it's 3*** rating!
We arrived early, no possibility of room being ready, no offer to look after our luggage. When we returned at check-in time our room was still being sorted and wasn't thoroughly clean (pieces of old, hard pizza on the floor and empty coffee sachets). Sparcely furnished rooms, mismatched and poor quality. Decor not much better with poor quality doors that didn't provide a sense of security. Very noisy but can't blame the hotel for other guests! So bad we only stayed one night, no refund as we had paid upfront through expedia.. ... one to avoid in my opinion!

The hotel is more for English tourists coming to France for shopping. English breakfast and no baguettes. Simple rooms with no charme. Good underground parking - you must ask for it.

This was a disgusting hotel...it seemed we were the only people in the place...the area was very rough..run down and unsafe...The room was dirty...the carpet was filthy and stained...the wifi only intermittently worked and the television just kept cutting out so you could not watch it....this should not be on your listings it really does reflect on you...

The hotel was great, clean and welcoming. The only thing we found difficult was the address was not correct on the booking page. It said it was 37 rue de Raymond, when in fact it was rue de president. So we had trouble finding the hotel.

Nice little hotel in the heart of Dunkerque. Just 3 min walk from the UNESCO rated bellfry. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
