"This is a great VRBO with a great host! The house is neat, clean, has plenty of cupboard space, lots of fresh towels, and a great kitchen with professional-grade stainless steel pots and pans. The peacock theme is nice, and the owner has a small hobby farm with peacocks, so it is a cool story! The house is light and airy, as there are many windows and skylights. The decorations are subtle, nothing over the top, and not cluttered, making it very tasteful.The location is ideal! The house is 5–10 minutes outside Port Angeles, which is "the gateway to Olympic National Park." One super cool feature of this house is the private access to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, which connects to the Pacific Ocean. We even saw cruise ships and cargo ships out in the distance on the strait. The private beach access does require a 5–10 minute hike on a reasonably well-maintained, unpaved trail through the woods. Assuming you are in town for things like hiking at Olympic National Park, this hike to the beach will be very easy and would be green/blue rated. Like most unpaved hikes in the Pacific Northwest, you need to use basic caution, and the trail is not well suited for very small children or older adults who are not generally active. If it has rained recently, the trail could be slick, as expected for any standard dirt trail. Once you get to the beach, you have literally miles of "private" beach access that is a combination of sand/small smooth rocks, so it is easy to go on miles-long walks."

"We had a wonderful experience at Hideaway Cottage. The property itself is quite beautiful and magical… there are several short nature trails along with a magnificent beach trail. It is a hike to get up and down the trail as the property sits on a cliff. However, it’s well worth it if you can manage the stairs. There are several cabins houses quite nearby so not as much privacy as you’d plan. However, it is a very quiet, laid back community and we felt comfortable quite quickly."

"The house was very nice & clean. The only issue was there wasn’t a back yard in the picture it looked different. It was perfect for the couple of days that we stayed. My only 1 suggestion is to add another TV may for the master bedroom. The location was beautiful and sunset was gorgeous."

"This is a lovely property with lots of privacy, surrounded by natural beauty. The private trail to the Dungeness Spit trail head is fantastic - it's about a 20 minute walk down to the spit and well worth the effort. It is stunning, even in the rain! It's a moderate uphill walk part of the way back. Easy access by car from the house to everything the Olympic peninsula has to offer. Couple of small suggestions:Perhaps a throw or some blankets might be a nice addition - my daughter fell asleep on the exceptionally comfy couch after a long hike on the spit and there was absolutely nothing to throw over her except towels!There isn't enough light for reading on the same exceptionally comfy couch once it's dark. I moved a lamp upstairs from one of the bedrooms so I could see my book.Must stress, these were tiny inconveniences that did not detract from a fabulous weekend in a gorgeous home. Thank you so much!"

"This property was secluded. However, we saw no way to get down to the beach and that is what we expected to do. The bathtub was high and tub was slick which I almost slipped several times. It was clean. Just a little outdated mobile home."
