Bring your pets and enjoy this cozy, 728 sq ft. home conveniently located along route 11/15.

Designed with you in mind, we`ve brought in furnishings to ensure comfort and functionality. Spend the weekend while you explore the Appalachian trail, Susquehanna River, Hershey Park, Harrisburg City, and more. Enjoy the Drip coffee maker with coffee provided.

The historic and currently operational Pennsylvania Railroad runs behind the property- people come from all over to visit this landmark. While it is an impressive sight, be aware there will be railroad noise.

The 90ft driveway ensures lots of parking and gives you a little bit of distance from route 11/15. Use the backyard for fires in the fire pit, a place for your pet to roam in the fenced area, or time to unwind.

Book your stay today!

You are welcome to use the garage although there is no garage door opener. The door works manually.

We live a few miles away but you can reach us via the Airbnb messaging app anytime.

Use the sheetz number 238 along State Route 11 for a GPS reference. Lots of good camping and hiking in this area. Other nearby attractions include diners and convenient stores. The River is a great place to take your boat and do some fishing!

Travel to Harrisburg, Uber is a good option.

The railroad track is active but most people don`t seem to mind it. In fact its nearby to the worlds longest stone arch bridge and its still being used today!

Adorable bungalow in a great location!

We enjoyed our stay and that we were able to have our dog along on this trip. Great communication with the PM and easy access to the downtown area. I would recommend this property.

Wedding weekend at Whitetail Lodge

We attended a wedding weekend at Whitetail Lodge. The house was only 10 min from the venue and was perfect! Had everything we needed and was neat, clean and updated. There is a train that runs out back but wasn't a big bother for us. House was great!

I enjoyed my stay at this property from A to Z. Everything was as described on the website. The host was extremely accommodating and directions were simple and clear. The pet inclusion was convenient and the fenced yard made me feel safe. I have a yearly commitment in this area and will definitely rent here again.

Once We Found This, We Came Back

This is a cute property on Rtes. 11-15 near Duncannon, PA. We first came here as a place to recuperate from an operation which worked out quite well. We liked it so much, we came back two more times. Our daughter from Philadelphia joined us on all visits. We will be back.

Great property includes all you need.

Great property and included all the kitchen, bath, & laundry essentials we needed. Whatever we did not have could be found just up the road a short distance at the store. Close to the city but far enough away that you did not feel crowded. The house was clean, cozy, & bed was super comfy. We enjoyed sitting on the porch each night and watching the traffic go by on the busy highway. Everything was as advertised. Would stay again if in the area.

Perfect

The property was exactly as described. It was neat and clean. We had family over and a few friends. The host was amazing and attentive. The Ring Doorbell gave us peace of mind since we weren’t particularly familiar with the area. 100% would recommend staying here. The yard is also perfect for those with pets. I also took a walk by the Railroad tracks and the surrounding area was adorable.

This is not a pleasant place to stay.

The owner should alert potential clients about the road noise from the busy road in the front of the house. I read the reviews to late to cancel and would not have rented if i knew how disturbing the car noise was. Plus i had to buy sented candles and air fresher just to stay there. Its obvious as soon as you walk inthat this is a very old and not well taken care of property. I use to have a rental property and i would be embarrassed to have guest stay here.

Family trip was great! Railfan paradise!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint little house. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. The place is well cared for and very clean. Our dogs loved the dog run. We didn't mind at all not having a dishwasher. We also didn't mind the train noise from the tracks behind the house. In fact, if you're a railfan this is a great place to stay. The highway noise was much more introduce than the trains, but we got used to it quickly. The highway also makes it challenging to get into and out of the driveway at times. But, we figured that out also. Communication with the host was easy and they were very gracious and helpful. We'd definitely stay again!

Cozy Well Kept cottage

This place is small and cozy. The renovations were nice. Everything was super clean and well maintained. The house is on a very busy road with lots of traffic when people are going to and from work/school. Traffic noise is a bit much at first, but it slows down after 1:00-12:00 at night. Also, a train track runs behind the house, but the train doesn't run late at night. We had a good stay there and would recommend it. We had everything we needed.

This was perfect for us!

This was my husband and I and our 2 teenagers and two Labrador dogs. The house was just as described. I read in the bathtub and my son watched movies while my husband and daughter went fishing for small mouth bass on the Susquehanna! It was close to Harrisburg where we went for dinner and other events. Some people mentioned about the railroad tracks that are right behind the house and we did hear them quite a few times but never at night. The beds were comfortable enough, the wifi was excellent. The only downside is that the house is right off of a busy road and coming in and out of the driveway was MILDLY challenging. The fenced in yard was awesome for the dogs. We would stay here again.

Base camp for watching trains

The houae was as expected from the listing. We used this 2 night stay to extend our vacation in Virginia to a full week, so we watch some trains in PA.
