"We were greeted on arrival by the owner, who was extremely welcoming and hospitable. The room was extremely spacious and well appointed and the breakfast excellent. Dullstroom is evidently the highest town in South Africa at well over 2000 metres above sea level. As such it is somewhat cooler than most of the country and provided a welcome respite. We would have no hesitation in recommending Critchley Hackle and hope to return ourselves next year."

"The place needs a revamp, the furniture is chipped for a 5 star standard. The whole 5 star expectation was'nt there and was lacking on all spheres, accommodation, food and decor and service. Even the spa treatment was underpar compared to other 5 star establishments."

"Dunkeld is beautiful and so relaxing. They have a lot of activities and their restaurant's food is absolutely amazing! The room was beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. I would just not recommend the quad bike ride...that was really a waist of money."
