Enjoy the deck for entertainment and relaxation. READ WINTER INFO BEFORE BOOKING Welcome to Mountain Life!
We’re thrilled to have you and your family stay with us at THAT Cabin. Please keep in mind that life here operates a bit differently than in the larger surrounding cities. The weather can be unpredictable, and the local charm adds to the experience.
Before you head out, here are a few important things to know:
1. Weather Preparedness: The weather can change quickly in the mountains. Be sure to check local forecasts and pack accordingly, including warm layers and waterproof gear.
2. Local Amenities: While our village may not have all the conveniences of larger cities, it offers a delightful selection of local shops and restaurants. We encourage you to explore and support these local businesses!
3. Mountain Safety: Whether you’re hiking, skiing, or enjoying the outdoors, please take necessary precautions to ensure your safety. Familiarize yourself with local trails and always let someone know your plans.
4. Wildlife Awareness: We share this beautiful space with local wildlife. Please respect their habitats and follow guidelines for encounters.
5. Community Guidelines: Respecting our neighbors and community is essential. Keep noise levels down, especially in the evenings, and adhere to any local regulations. Quiet Time is 10 pm - 7 am.
We are excited to help you create wonderful memories in this beautiful mountain setting.
We provide a small bundle of wood for the fireplace; additional wood is available. upon request for a fee. We DO NOT supply starting provisions. Wood can be purchased in the village, or you can bring your own. DO NOT BURN DURALOGS IN THE FIREPLACE. Real wood only.
ONCE THE SNOW ARRIVES…
In the winter, Highway 14 may or may not have snow on it. The county plows the roads from sunup to sundown. Upon arriving in the village, the drive to the cabin is on snow-covered gravel roads. There may not be cell service for your provider in our area, so please come prepared. You will ascend 8500 ft. Winter weather may vary on your journey.
4x4 or ALL Wheel drive is RECOMMENDED and in the winter months, and we suggest you just carry chains.
**If you need chains, put them on BEFORE attempting the hills, put them on in a safe, flat, out-of-the-way area. DO NOT BLOCK ROADS, especially Movie Ranch/ Meadow Ranch ( it is a hill once past the church), as it is the only access to the community. 2 Wheel drive WILL NOT work.
SNOW REMOVAL: If it snows during your stay, your driveway will be blown out if there’s 8” or more. The plow may only blow up to where your car is parked. If your car is on the street, it may get covered in snow from the plow. So, ALWAYS park in the designated parking spots. Snow removal on the deck and around your car is your responsibility, too. There will be a shovel on the deck of the cabin. We are in line for snow plow AFTER the main roads, residents, and elders.
POWER OUTAGES: In the event of a power outage, the only source of heat is the fireplace, and you will need to start a fire. We do not stock wood or fire starters. Plan ahead for winter weather and have these provisions.
This information is not to discourage your winter adventure but to keep you in shape so you can make the most of your vacation.
Security Cameras 4 visible security cameras outside: front side/road, side of the cabin, front of the shed, and downstairs.

3 THAT Cabin! Love the generous Host(s). 3 the Guest Log. It was an insightful read: remembering the Pandemic Shut Down and reading about fellow traveler's adventures - no plot spoilers, but... it's an enjoyable travel diary. Everything was clean and in good working order. Oh! and there's an abundance of pillows. We travel with our own pillows (we're old babies), but if you don't, there's a plethora of pillows provided throughout the cabin. 3
The property itself is very comfortable, clean, and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The only downside is the neighborhood that you pass to get to the cabin is somewhat run down.
Wed had an amazing time at this perfect little cabin. The rooms were great and were so impressed by the many little amenities the house already had much more so than the average rental. Spent tons of time on spacious porch looking at cliff/mountain views to the east and the valley below. Highly recommend this cabin and would definitely come back. Owners are great as well and promptly responded to any questions and needs we had
We loved the stay and had a great time. It is starting to get cold and there is an awesome fireplace, plenty of blankets, and a beautiful expansive deck.
GREAT way to spend our anniversary! What a delightful cabin! It had every comfort of home, making our stay truly enjoyable. We were fortunate to get some snow a couple of days during our visit, and the fireplace kept us warm and cozy. The owners were attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. That cabin is exceptionally well-appointed!
THAT Cabin was an amazing retreat. We had the best time with our kids. The views off the deck, of the sunset and sunrise made the whole trip! From the warm cozy fireplace to the towel warmers in the multiple bathrooms, it was enchanting. If you are looking to relax and unwind, book THAT Cabin, sit back in the massage chair, and enjoy.
Great property, my kind of place. Perfect location for exploring Southern Utah, National and State Parks. Communication with owners was super quick, all necessities provided. Highly recommend.
A little slice of Heaven less then 4 hours away from Vegas!
It's the second time I've stayed here, and I absolutely love it! The views from the deck are fabulous. The cabin is peaceful, homey, bright, comfortable, functional and has everything you need...including a beautiful fire place perfect for the cold nights:-)
Wonderful place to stay! The view and area is awesome. You have a beautiful view of the sunrise and get to see some awesome wildlife. THAT Cabin is cozy and comfortable space that I recommend to stay and enjoy. Andeen was AMAZING with communication and making everything easy.
We had a wonderful time with our friends. The cabin was clean and well stocked. It was great to cool down from the heat for the weekend. We loved the deck! Thank you!
Short trip from Vegas to beat the heat for a bit. The cabin had an awesome view, super close to the village. And a short drive to Lake Navajo. It was spacious, we didn't even use the upstairs portion of the cabin. Check in was easy, there was more stuff there to use than we did. It has a very eclectic decor all over it where if you want to see something cool just look at a wall. Bed was comfy, kitchen/living area was nice as all open to each other and you get the patio view from the kitchen/dining area. Would definitely stay there again!
We stayed for three nights and it was very comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Loved the view. It rained during our stay but that was just fine. Temperature was wonderful. Thank you so much for having us. Linda, Mike and Tess
Warm and cozy. Snowed just enough to make trails and roads muddy so we stayed in and played games and watched movies. The snow was beautiful and weather was perfect for sleeping in the cozy and comfortable beds!
What a comfortable perfect sized cabin for a couple or family. Literally everything you need is there too! From condiments to games to gift from the host. This will not be our last time here we’ll be back soon! Thank you so much for the experience!
THAT Cabin worked well for us, there was plenty of room and had everything you would need. Was right between Zion and Bryce, up in the mountains, in the woods with a great view looking east. Very close to Cedar Breaks, Ice Cave, and Mammoth Caves. Amazing sunrises. No dishwasher, so be ready to hand wash everything. There is gas and some food at the village along with ATV/OHV rentals.
The deer came by each evening, right up to the deck just to check in :-)
THAT Cabin is truly an amazing experience. As a first time renter of any type of vacation rental, THAT Cabin and its hosts truly made it a worry free streamlined process. The check in and check out procedures were extremely clear and well presented. Everything we need to cook out Thanksgiving dinner was readily available in THAT Cabin. The location is amazing, the view is great, the furnishings, and overall thought the hosts have put into the property is great. My family and I will definitely be visting again! We plan to experience THAT Cabin in the summer. Thank you !!!
Everything about That Cabin screens family, friends, and fun. The administrator we're fabulous. I rent houses a couple of times a year in our vacations and this home was stitched. Beautiful scenery, serene, course to everything you want for a short it long hike, beautiful sunsets and sunrise, night sky was gorgeous. We ev sitting stars. en got you de
Another great family vacation at That Cabin! There was plenty to do in and outside of the cabin. The grandkids loved the variety of games to play with and spent hours - and spices! The grill on the deck acted as my sous chef as I cooked many meals on it. The kids outnumbered the adults, so we appreciated the space in the cabin, the loft was a perfect place for them to play. Thank you That Cabin for the binder listing activities in the area. This trip we hiked Cascade Falls, rented atvs, toured Mammoth Caves, and went horseback riding in Zion. We are looking forward to next years family vacation at That Cabin!
We needed to escape the scorching Las Vegas heat with our pets. At the eleventh hour, we decided to head to Duck Creek and were lucky enough to come across THAT Cabin! Remarkably, it offers one of the most breathtaking mountain views from its deck. The cabin exceeded our expectations with its cleanliness, excellent amenities, and attentive owners who even allowed us to check in at noon instead of 4 pm. It was truly a win-win situation. Without a doubt, my family, including our beloved pets, will be returning! Thank you for providing us with such an amazing escape.
Stayed 3 nights over thanksgiving break 2023. It was perfect for our family of 5 with kids ranging from 5-10. The loft area makes the kids feel like they have their own space and the games gave them plenty to do during our down time. The cabin was well stocked and cozy. We hiked Zion the first day and then it snowed so we did snow activities after that. We wished we had stayed longer because there were other hikes and lakes in the area we wished we had planned into our visit.
The hosts were great. Provided plenty of instructions for things around the cabin and very responsive before and during our stay. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to duck creek.
As the owners will say sit back and relax, we did! First time doing a VRBO and first time in Duck Creek village.
We tried to think of everything we would need, but that didn’t happen, luckily the cabin is stocked so well with just about anything one would need!
Pictures don’t do it justice, such a cute cabin the decor had us looking at all the cute collectibles. Grandson started a puzzle, played darts watched videos and had a couple of bed choices 😍
Scenery was amazing!! Weather was a little warm in the day, but not to worry fans throughout 😍
Owners answered my numerous questions and guided us through!
We will be back to THAT cabin!!!
Thank you for an enjoyable stay!
