nice stay

The townhouse was conveniently located in the part of Dubuque that we wanted to visit. It was a short walk to restaurants, the Mississippi River Museum and other venues in that area. The patio was a nice place to sit and have coffee in the morning.

Disappointed

We have stayed in many VRBO properties before. We were dismayed that the property lacks such basic amenities as tissue, napkins, a plunger in the event it is needed. There was an abundance of bath towels but 3 washcloths and two hand towels. VRBO's we have stayed in supply bar soap, shampoo, shower wash, and lotion; this had none. A posting asked us to remove our shoes so as to protect the floors and honestly the bottoms of my shoes had less dirt on them than did my feet after walking on the hardwood. The tub upstairs drains slowly. I have always used laundry facilities in other properties. The washer door was wet possibly from condensation when I opened it but I could not get it to function. Posting instructions would have been helpful. I agree with other postings that the patio area needs to be cleaned in order to be usable and the sliding screen on the patio needs repair. The surrounding area is lovely and the space in the home is more than adequate. Communication with Jeff was easy. However due to lack of basic amenities as described above we would not stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

Everything worked out well and was as expected. The home is charming and has a vintage feel with a lot of character. Very clean and stocked with all the necessities. There was a musty smell when we arrived but it was probably because it was 98deg outside with 1000% humidity. It was in the ideal location for our event. Easily accessible. We always got parking right outside the home. Walkable distance or a very short drive to restaurants/bars, casino, and venue. If ever in Dubuque, check out this rental.

Modern updates and very comfortable.

This fine old townhouse has been well updated. It is spacious and very conveniently located. Modern and comfortable enough to feel like home, old townhouse enough to feel like you are really experiencing Dubuque - this is a great place from which to explore the city.

Great property, comfortable beds and pillows, close to good restaurants, bars and shops downtown. The bedrooms had generous closet space and it was decorated with some cute art. Property manager was easy to reach and responded quickly to emails. We would definitely stay again.

Very nice property

We stayed in Dubuque for a weekend away. The property is in a great location, the house is well maintained, and the neighborhood was safe. I would stay here again and suggest it to anyone looking to be in the Dubuque downtown.

Perfect stay in downtown Dubuque

This property if perfectly situated in Dubuque. The home was clean, well decorated, and had everything we could need. Instructions to access the home and to park were simple and the house was exactly as described. Walkable to local restaurants, breweries, and shops, or for an evening stroll. It was very quiet as well. We had a wonderful visit and would definitely stay again.

Parking hard to find near VRBO.

There was a very, very, narrow one way street for parking. My co-tenant/75 yr old uncle had to walk from around the corner after parking each evening. I wonder if a “Parking for VRBO Tenants Only” sign would help??

Nice place for a weekend getaway. Property manager/owner was responsive and easy to deal with. This place is a great location if you want to be in walking distance for the south end of Main Street in downtown Dubuque!

Weekend visiting family in the area

Motels all booked so I checked VRBO and this townhome was available. Quiet neighborhood. House was very clean and modern. Beautiful kitchen. Liked the layout. Bedrooms comfortable and clean. The manager always responded to my questions that I texted. When back in town at another family gathering I will check first if townhome is available. Check in and check out went smoothly
