Surprised to find rooms were recently renovated Ourroom was beautiful. Hard to find staff. We had to wait quite awhile whenever we needed anything.

We’re not told about the lift so dragged our luggage up the stairs. When checking out we did take the lift and once down we couldn’t open the door. We were stuck in lift for 8-10 minutes until we were able to flag down someone walking by and they notified management…need better instructions!

The hotel was in a great location, it had wonderful dinner meals and breakfast. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend staying there.

Loved the decor. Pub downstairs definitely popular with locals and prices for food and drinks very affordable. Within walking distance of two historical sites (12th century castle and church). Lots of little shops and pubs within easy walking distance. Quiet and quaint. Operating the lift up to our room was a challenge and climbing into the deep tub in our room would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues but all good otherwise.

Very cozy atmosphere. Staff was great. They could use additional breakfast items. Fruit on the menu, but didn't have it available twice when I tried ordering it. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
