Business Trip to Dubai

I stayed at Studio One whilst on business in Dubai. The hotel made for a great location around the locations I visited. There is a good choice of restaurants available and staff were really friendly and helpful during my stay.

Ok for a cheap night

For the price hotel is fine, room was comfortable and clean. The staff at reception were hard work when checking in though. We just needed a room for the night to sleep so it did the job, wouldn't like to stay there for fun or longer though. Decor was all over the place, like it's trying to be cool but trying too hard.

Dubai's hidden gem

I have stayed at studio 1 on numerous occasions. It may be in the lower price bracket but what you get is, good service, clean rooms, courteous staff, a great selection of bars and restaurants, and easy access to roads that can take you anywhere in the Emirates. As a business traveller it is a hidden gem, and I would far rather stay there than some overpriced concrete and glass monolith on Sheik Zayed Rd because it has 5 stars.

Unfortunately another 'VIP Access' property which doesn't offer the benefits stated when booking- far too many of these now! My last 4 or 5 have all been the same. This hotel is in very good condition, in a good area, and the staff were very welcoming. Despite the hotel being quite quiet during my stay, the restaurants in the building were busy enough and there was a good atmosphere.

Random choice for a few nights

Modern hotel concept. Several restaurants and bars attract people especially during the weekends. Rooms nicely decorated. Reception service not at the level of the hotel. Some of the staff were professional, but some were clearly inexperienced. Check in took several minutes as the software used requires receptionists attention leaving the customer to wonder what is taking so long.

Very clean and modern hotel. Was not happy with the room with a view as it said i had view of the golfcourse. I cant see round the side of buildings so i did not get what i thought i paid extra for. The AC was really poor i found also in the room. No smoking rooms was another issue as i always had to come down to ground floor for a cigarette and the balcony on level 3 did not have any public access.

A place that forgot what customer service is

Terrible experience. A place we have stayed at multiple times before but will not use again after this. After booking the room in advance at gppd prices for 2 rooms for a business trip the hotel decides to cancel the rooms and sell them to a higher bidder then trys to cover it up even though i spoke to a agent at the hotel to let them know we will be checking in late. Mistakes can happen but its how you deal with them and it shouldnt be at the customers expense nor convenience. Changed our booking to park inn motorcity and this will now be our go to place to stay.
