I’m pretty generous in my reviews but this I feel the need to really provide a detailed review for young families. This hotel (apartment side) really appealed to us because of the proximity of the Dubai Mall and Burj K & the fact that there was 5 of us. The only positive of booking this hotel is the location. No need for Uber or taxi (15-25 min ride from airport depending on traffic- as an aside government taxi’s are 60 percent cheaper than Ubers- we paid 48-55 Dirham. Walking distance to mall is 5 min. You have to cross two easy intersection crosswalks. We were placed on the 5th floor. Upon entering the suite, all I can say is that it was below par. The rugs were absolutely disgusting and stained (not sure why there isn’t tile only all around) we walked continuously on crocs inside. The furniture is quite dated (80s style Couches) and the washrooms are also quite dated - something of what you would see at a motel 6. The kitchen was so disgusting that we didn’t step foot. We would have paid couple hundred more at more up to date place had we known. The hallway of the 5th floor also had a terrible smell. I also made two toll free collect calls to my credit card company and was charged 60 Dirham. The staff did not understand my objection to this. On our first night, we had a fire alarm wake us up at 1 a.m. When we asked for an explanation the day after, none was given. The main hotel that is connected to the apartment seemed nice- nice pool area

We stayed at the hotel for a week in February. The hotel is really well located in the downtown with the proximity to the mall, shops, pharmacy etc. The room was cleaned daily and the staff was very helpful and responsive. The room is really big and cosy. We recommend the hotel!

Staff service is good enough and very convenient place if going to Dubai mall. Variety of Breakfast meal, also I can recommend dinner buffet, especially international buffet which serving weekend is good. You can take a dinner and take all you can eat. Also the buffet price is reasonable. No need to try to find outside restaurants. Just consider that check in / out are slightly taking time. I’m not sure why that’s so. It might be not enough something to proceed it.

The room wasn't properly clean. The entire carpet smelled of sand; the illumination was so poor that my family had to remove all of the carpet to see well. The Apartments at the Hotel are old and dated compared to Al-Ghurair Living. Also the windows are not properly double glazed so the traffic noise is on whole night as Apartments next to busy highway . Very hard to sleep. You have to wait for a buggy/golf cart to go for breakfast or walk. Not very convenient. The hotel is perfect for Dubai Mall. The breakfast is not upto standard aa menu is limited and very congested. The whole place needs a makeover. Should be a 3-Star not a 5-Star. Only positive was the Staff were courteous. I would suggest Al-Ghurair to any visitor as the apartments and hotel rooms are in one location and there is a mall within. Not satisfied with my stay in this other hotel

Apartment is Very old. Toilet is dirty. Smell bad. Bedroom Curtain cannot be closed tightly. In the middle of shower, no hot water in some days. We stayed 7nights and seems not vacuum everyday. Hair on the floor. Dust on the hair dryer. No refill toilet paper, two box tissue is empty for few days. Not worth

Terrific location for our short two-night stay after a cruise. the immense Dubai mall is a short 5 minute walk across a busy road, and that's also where you'd go to tour the Burj Khalifa tower. It's also a 15 to 20 minute taxi ride to either the Dubai Marina area or to the airport. The staff in the main building and in the apartment building where we stayed were exceptionally friendly and helpful. they were able to get us into our room before 11 AM so we could start enjoying the area.

Noisy, coffee shop/bar downstairs stayed late till 3 am… Problem with refrigerator, they changed 4 times, was still not good Kitchen was missing so many items, request all, they brought many Many features in the apartment was not properly functioning, ie toilet flushing keep sticking and not releasing, have to force that…. Impractical 2 different keys, one to open parking garage and another to open room Ac was a major problem, 1 controller for all 3 bedrooms, created an issue with my family, one want warm other wanted cooler, etc

Great location. 15 min walk to Dubai Mall. Rooms were decent but cleaning could be a bit better. Plenty of places to eat close by and a super market within walking distance.
