"Nice spacious room. I booked through Expedia which had some issues where I had to cancel & rebook but that is separate from the hotel reservations. Carvery was nice but a small selection. Nice to get a free pint for him on fathers day. Bit if a trek to the toilet from the restaurant especially with little kids who need to pee so often. Breakfast was good except the scrambled eggs. It was very warm in our room so the fan was a great help. Would have been nice if there was a few bottles of water in there but my hubby went to the shop for water. Fabulous playground across the road. Unfortunately for us there was no early check-in option at hotel. The beds kept sliding away from the headboard which was a bit annoying when we wanted to sit upright watching tv,however we all slept well in the beds."

"A lovely stay. It’s an old hotel with a special vibe but the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic and my room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Even though the rooms could do with some refurbishment, this places into insignificance when compared to the great food and lovely staff"

"Be aware that these are unused student dorm rooms. If you’re a late sleeper, each guest leaving their room in the morning will slam at least 3 doors, which can be a bother. The room and bathroom were reasonably clean. Parking is close enough, but be prepared for a 2 minute walk."
