Quaint farm house B&B in French country.
Beautiful old French farm house in the middle of nowhere.
Great if you are a minimalist looking for quaint. Not for those who want creature comforts, new linings and towels. Bring your own soap.
Breakfast was croissants , bread and a large pitcher of coffee. This was very good and included in the price.
These folks are busy and Vincente still makes a very nice breakfast. The pizza at the truck down the road is a great option for dinner on the terrace. Check out the unusual goats next door and the Spar market has WARM baguettes in the morning across the street. Ask for “Une baguette, s’il vous plait” and enjoy! This lodge was MUCH further than I expected on extremely windy roads from Cannes and through Grasse but it was beautiful. The Val du Saint Thierry has a great farmer’s market on Sunday morning.

We were very disappointed. We we riding our bikes on a tour of the region, and arrived before 5pm. The manager did not look happy to see us, and made us feel uncomfortable that we came early. He did give us a room though. There are no easy dining options within walking distance, except for a crepe place with a very limited menu. Finally, we were told that breakfast was not before 8am. Upon arriving at 8am, the breakfast room was locked, but we could see that people had already had their breakfast. We waited 10mn for the manager to arrive, and he did not even apologize.
Wonderful quaint place to stay in the countryside. Close to the park. Nicholas was a great host and recommended a good restaurant but best of all during breakfast he told us about the most amazing hike in the grand canyon. Thank you Nicholas!

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 giorni in questo B&B è siamo stati accolti familiarmente, camera pulitissima, funzionava tutto, ottimo il riscaldamento, colazione all’italiana perfetta, Grazie !
Nicolas and Camille are wonderful! We had the absolute greatest experience we could have ever asked for. Unfortunately, a crazy snow storm came in on the night we arrived which made for a treacherous trip from Nice up to the property, but Nicolas called ahead and forewarned us. Then, once there, he called over to a local restaurant to confirm we could get some food. He was excellent at giving us recommendations and directions. The entire family was very welcoming and the entire experience was fantastic. We would recommend this any and all. Great location. Great people.

The owner is very pleasant, and will tell you about nearby attractions and things to do. (Note: he only speaks French.) There is a little village nearby (with a couple restaurants, only open certain days of the week). The owner will make you dinner upon request (fixed menu). Breakfast consists of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, juice, a croissant, baguette, and home-made marmelade.
Parking is easy, in front of the building. There is an outdoor eating area for summer, but we ate indoors, as it was quite chilly in Sept.
The scenery is beautiful, amongst the mountains. Hiking is available in the nearby hills, and also from Castellane (20-minute drive) and the Verdon Gorge (40-minute drive). Castellane is the nearest significant town, with gas station, tourist office (with hiking maps), restaurants, supermarket, and lots of white water rafting tour companies.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Me and my friend who stayed with me had a really bad experience there for the following reasons:
1. The reservations specified 45 sqm room, where in reality it was 20 sqm at the most. The landlord said the hotels.com made up the size and it was not provided by him.
2. The reservation specified wifi, while they had none.
3. No where was it mention that the payment is cash only. It was very upsetting.
The landlord had sent us an e-mail with a receipt 2 hours after we left. Surprisingly with his internet that was broken we were there.
4. The landlord knows no english, At all, So arguing and asking things was impossible and The weather was stormy and the area is completely dark so to leave at night was not a feasible option.
5. Breakfast. Im sorry but a bit of butter, gam and coffee is not a hotel breakfast which charges 100 euros a night.
6. The bathroom had a strong sewer odor. We didn't complain about that to the landlord due to language issues. He really doesn't know any english.
It was a real bad experience.
