"We picked The Bethel Inn Resort mainly for the location since we were skiing at Sunday River Ski Resort, and that part worked out great. The price felt reasonable, and having a continental breakfast included was a nice perk. The heated outdoor pool, sauna, and gym building were all really nice after a long day on the mountain. The room itself was pretty basic and definitely a bit dated. No USB outlets, which feels like an easy upgrade these days. Parking is out front, and if you’re staying farther back (like we were), it’s kind of a haul carrying ski gear. We ate at the restaurant one night—honestly, it felt a little chaotic and understaffed. The food was just okay, but portions were solid. Overall, we’d probably stay again because of the location and amenities, but next time we’d try to get a room closer to the main building and avoid the Fairway side."

"Let me start off by saying that we had a great stay. It was very easy to get to Sunday River to ski all four days that we were there. That being said there are a few things that I feel others on VRBO should know. First, you are booking a townhouse that is part of the Bethel Resort and Suites. The location on the map is not the location of the unit. Check in is at the hotel front desk, which is getting a facelift, and the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a pet policy that I was asked to sign upon check-in. It was basic and not an issue for us, but it would have been helpful to know that we needed to bring furniture covers if the dog was to be on the couch and that she needed to be crated when we were not in the unit with her. There are specific places where the dog is allowed to go according to the policy, but it is unclear with signage what is Ok and what is not. Secondly, Bethel Resort and Suites have a lot of amenities that I believe we were able to use. We did not use any of them because we did not know that they were available to us with this rental. Indoor/Outdoor heated pool, health club, and cross country / snowshoe trails. Lastly there was an issue with a chirping smoke detector. It started making noise just after we had unpacked all of the food and moved in. I called the front desk and despite it being almost 10 pm, maintenance came and changed the batteries in both detectors. So thankful! We will definitely stay again! "
