"A wannabe 5-star hotel.
I booked this hotel as a number of events were held at the Singapore Cricket Club, which was a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is well maintained, in a good position - across from Funan Centre with its beautiful restaurants and modern food courts. My check in reception is at level 3, right next to the breakfast room. It is a high traffic area during the morning rush. While the breakfast offering is adequate, it was not a 5-star breakfast offering. No egg station. Only pre-fried eggs. The breakfast room was more a canteen. No ambience for guests to have a relaxing linger longer breakfast for that second cup of coffee. And the hotel lobby at level 1 was too small to handle groups of departing guests. They mingled next to the door while waiting for their rides. I had to push my way through the crowd just to get out of the hotel in the morning. Would be good if the concierge can usher them to the other end of the area to ensure access to the doorway is not blocked.
On a positive note, the hotel is located towards the end of Colman Street and a short 8 minutes' walk to the lively Clarke Quay prescient. And its only 5 minutes' walk to City Hall MRT station."
"It was central to the shops and public transport. The lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter. There was no outlet in the bathroom to use the hair dryer."
"My stay at the Ritz Carlton Singapore was again a very enjoyable experience. The Club lounge is one of the best in the Ritz Carlton portfolio. I would suggest adding some cushions on the lounges in the rear of the clubs sitting area, as currently the lounges are very deep and quite uncomfortable. I would also suggest that you stop using plastic water bottles and use something more sustainable and in keeping with looking after the environment. Thank you for a lovely stay"
"The hotel is in the perfect location to take in the Marina Bay Area with great views from the Marina Bay rooms which is why we always book Mandarin. Breakfast is fantastic with many varieties and the staff are always polite, helpful and professional. Our room had a minor issue which couldn’t be quickly resolved. As a result we were upgraded which was much appreciated and showed the staff and management wanted to ensure we had a great stay. Thank you to Sara in the club Lounge for arranging the upgrade and always being a warm and engaging host and always being incredibly professional. We will be back as this is where we stay in Singapore."
"Room was small for 2 single people w/ luggage. Breakfast VERY expensive. Great location, helpful staff.
For the price of the rooms the coffee at reception should be free IMO."
"This hotel was very unique I have never seen anything like it . The rooms had the best views of the the city which was in the beautiful ChinaTown. The lobby and rooftop pool is beautiful but the water was too cold that’s the only thing I didn’t like . The location is near everything."
