Big Woods Cabin-Pelsor AR

The Cabin in the Woods is located at Pelsor (Sand Gap), Arkansas. With a view of the mountains from the front porch. There are water falls everywhere and you can hear some of them when sitting outside.

With hundreds of miles of hiking trails, back roads, creeks and forest, the Cabin in the Woods is the outdoor enthusiast's place to be. It is easily accessible and conveniently located at the junction of highways 7,16 and 123, which lead to the Ozark Highland Trail, Pedestal Rocks, Haw Creek Falls, Falling Water Falls, Big Piney Creek, Richland Creek, Hurricane Creek and many other places to explore. There are also horse trails through out the area.
There is a beautiful view from of the mountains from the front porch. Also enjoy a firepit area with a charcoal BBQ grill.

We do also offer our guests 2 horse stalls that are setup outside. You are welcome to use them.

The property is on 3 acres and sits at the corner of Highway 7 and 16 in Pelsor (Sand Gap). We are directly across from the Hankins Country Store.

We are in a remote area. Pope County and Newton County Arkansas are dry counties. So are most of the counties near us. So if you want a drink you need to make sure to bring it with you.

Also we are about 30-35 miles to the nearest grocery store. There are 3 nearby locations you can pick up supplies if you need them. I do recommend you bring most of your groceries with you or stop on your way to the cabin to get supplies.

Very cool place to stop in and say Hi. They have a wide range of food/clothes/supply items if you need anything and they are directly across the street. You can also order food from them - pizza, wings, sandwiches, and breakfast items. This is your closest place to get things.

Easiest way to get to the cabin with GPS is just to put in Sand Gap Arkansas for directions. It will bring you straight to the intersection of Hwy 7, 16 and 123. We are across the street from the country store.
