"Front desk staff was welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfasts, and breakfast staff were very good. Housekeeping was also very good. Views from the hotel were beautiful and the location is excellent. Parking was relatively easy. Hotel pool and surrounding area was very tired looking and needed umbrellas or some sort of shaded area and decor. Rooms were very dated and carpet was very worn. We booked three rooms and two of the couples commented that their beds were uncomfortable and needed to be replaced. All of us felt that it was a good place to go if you are only staying for a short time. At one time this hotel would have been stunning. With some renovations it could be a real gem again."

"This quaint, beautiful property overlooking the Douro River was breathtaking! In the 'valley of the wolf', the vantage point of the valley was amazing and beyond peaceful. The room was cozy, balcony shared but not intrusive, inclusive breakfast was delicious and the 'honor system' for drinks made you feel like home! It was a perfect stay for our all-go time tasting port. The village was charming as well."

"It was a very pleasant stay, the room was a bit outdated, walls were thin but it had a very nice pool (very clean and big) with a nice garden with different trees and grass. The hotel also had parking and the staff was helpful and attentive. Hotel is a bit far from the centre but walkable."

"Relaxing place to stay whilst visiting the Douro region. welcoming and helpful host. It is a c 10min walk from the station which is straightforward if fairly fit, otherwise a short taxi ride..great views over the valley and river from the rooms and pool area. Enjoyed our stay, would recommend"
