"The staff were great from check in to check out. The location is ideal for walking everywhere, and they have large parking areas. The indoor pool is a nice touch to have when it’s late and you want to get out of your room. I forgot my adapters for my charging cable and they had them. The balcony’s in the room also smoking allowed. They also have a toy area for children which my daughter enjoyed. The restaurant is nice too, and the wait staff are very kind. Overall I will stay here again when I visit the Black Forest. "

"For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night. Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. They went above and beyond to help me from restaurant reservations, what points of interest to see, and even printed several documents I needed for me. At the end of the day, a hotel is really just a fungible service - a bed to sleep in. The difference is service. I would definitely recommend. "

"I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. "The spa was a nice surprise, great pool. The rooms was huge, but no aircon, so very warm in the summer. The bar was never attended, so difficult to get beverages at any time. The food was limited in choice and average quality. But the location is stunning. "

"Very friendly welcome and pleasant room. However the noise from the lift was very unwelcome and went on until midnight. We were in room 41 first after reception and also had noise from other guests as they passed our door. Otherwise a very nice hotel and lovely buffet dinner and breakfast."
