Great experience

Hotel is so cute and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and they were very flexible with checkout time to let us enjoy the island a little longer.

Quiet time of year but the hotel was lovely. We missed the 7:30 ferry so didn’t get in until late but still really enjoyed our short time on the island. Went for a nice walk in the morning before heading back to Göteborg to meet friends.

Great base for exploring the Göteborg archipelago.

This hotel is a great base for exploring the islands of Donnsö and Styrsö on the Gothenburg archipelago. A nice modern hotel, with a sea-side restaurant section. The room was comfortable, with a good bed, and plenty of storage space for clothes, though missing chairs. Reading in bed was made difficult by the lamps which just hung down the bed head. Food in the restaurant was generally fine (the mussels were great). Breakfast was very good.

We arrived early. The staff accomodated us nevertheless and msde the room available early. Great location, right in Donsö harbor. The weekend we were ther (Aug 2-3) there were an inter-island race, market, and a boat show. Food was great. Room offered a beutiful view towards the harbor in the west.

Just an amazing place to relax and enjoy the islands around Sweden. Be sure to catch dinner before 8 PM or you are hungry till the next day. Great experience, could use some new bikes that work and aren’t rusted out. But otherwise, amazing experience, very clean SMALL rooms.

Only hotel on Donsö-bit like a hostel.

Restaurant was good. We ate there twice and at Popsicle Cafe once. They are the only two restaurants in town. Both are very friendly and the food is okay. The hotel felt a bit like a hostel. The front desk is not always staffed, and they only cleaned our room once in the four days that we were there. But, it's the only game in town, so offers a unique experience.

Mycket trevlig personal och mysigt och rent hotell. Maten och frukosten smakade gott. Dock var det lite begränsad med matutbudet(menyn) under sommaren.

Fin inredning och utsikt, mycket god frukost. Det som drar ner det var allt liv utanför fönstret hela natten, moppar och gäng som drog runt. Vi hade räknat med en mer rofylld plats.

WOW was für ein tolles Hotel auf Donsö✨️ Sehr freundlicher Empfang bei unserer Ankunft. Unser tolles Eck-Zimmer mit Balkon war ein Highlight auf unserer Göteborg Reise. Das Frühstücksbuffet war liebevoll her gerichtet und ein Traum! Alles vom Feinsten und frisch. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen das Bett hat eine harte und eine weiche Matratze und das entzückende Bad mit den tollen Pflegeprodukten war auch sehr fein. Wir haben einmal im Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und die Speisen waren großartig! Die Insel Donsö ist sehr gut mit der Fähre von Saltholmens Brygga zu erreichen. Wir haben von Donsö aus noch die Insel Vrångö und Styrsö besucht und das Café Popsicle auf Donsö. Ein Supermarkt befindet sich gleich an der Hafenanlegestelle. Das Hotel Isbolaget hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir wieder kommen wollen! Die schöne Natur, die Ruhe und vor allem die freundlichen Menschen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!
