"Our room was old fashioned, but that was why we stayed there (the hotel dates to 1883). Comfortable bed, excellent on site restaurant that attracts many locals as well as guests. Right in the heart of Mount Dora, which itself has many historical buildings and is very walkable. A peaceful place to stay. And the staff was just wonderful."

"AT FIRST WE WERE DELIGHTED AT HOW CLOSE IT WAS TO DOWNTOWN. THE OWNERS DID NOT GIVE US THE CODE FOR THE DOOR UNTIL TWO HOURS BEFORE WE ARRIVED. THE FLOORS WERE DIRTY AND FULL OF SAND. WE CALLED THEM ON SUNDAY TO REPORT NO HOT WATER AND THEY DID COME AND TOLD US THERE HOT WATER CAME FROM ANOTHER BUILDING AND HE COULD NOT FIX IT. WE HAD BEEN ANTIQUING ALL DAY AND REALLY NEEDED AT SHOWER, WE COULD NOT. THERE WAS NO WAY TO GET TO THE ELECTRICAL BOX TO CHECK THE BREAKERS AND THEN WE NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO BACK DOOR EGRESS, SO ONLY ONE WAY IN AND ONE WAY OUT. I CALLED BOTH OF THE NUMBERS ON THE PHONE AND NO ANSWER, SO I THEN TEXED THEM BOTH AND ONE ANSWERED AND SAID THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE HOT WATER AND THEN NEVER TEXTED AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN TEXTING THEM AND THEY WILL NOT RESPOND. I WOULD LIKE A REFUND FOR AT LEAST ONE DAY OF THIS TRIP. THEY TURNED OUR TRIP INTO A NIGHTMARE."
