The front desk service was great, and easy to ask questions regarding train times through WhatsApp, and they even accommodated check out an hour earlier so I could do a morning surf lesson and wash up without rushing. "Nice and comfy room. Beautiful garden with many beautiful birds and other wildlife. Close to the beach. Plus is for the distance to Galle Road (which is very noisy). The dinner was good, but far from great. The curry’s are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (don’t try the chocolate pancakes). Beautiful place and very friendly staff. - Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok! "

"I had a wonderful stay at Wild Roots! I stayed for 6 nights. Room was spotless. Great AC. Kettle with tea and coffee. Spacious bathroom with a hot shower. Loved the balcony. Location is ideal. One minute walk to the stunning beach, but just off the busy main road. Staff were incredibly friendly. Always available both before and during my stay. Nothing was too much bother. Helped arranged drivers for me. Would absolutely stay again. "
