"We are a family of 4 and booked a garden view apartment. We cooked in the apartment which is very well equipped. The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a cliff over an amazing beach which is a 5 minute walk. There is a bar by the pool serving all sorts of food. Lagos is a 50 minute walk through the scenic route passing Ponta da Piedade/Praia do Camilo/Praia de Dona Ana, some of the “must see sites” in Algarve. You can also catch a bus to Lagos, stop is by the beach. Lagos is a beautiful town...

"Warm and welcoming staff. Very attentive to requests. The breakfast was excellent especially loved the fresh fruit, juices, variety of pastries, bread, omelets, vegan options as well as cheeses and meats/ salmon. The ocean view is spectacular. My kids enjoyed tennis, the beach, golf and the other activities at Kids club. It was close to Lagos and concierge arranged our trip to Benagil. The villa we lived in was very comfortable. "My friend and I stayed at Marina Rio in October 2014. We enjoyed it then and it hasn't disappointed us on this visit. The bedrooms have been revamped, excellent! The breakfast has something for everyone and my only comment would be the tables are close together. (Understandably as you need a place for all the visitors). Lovely walk to the town, great walk by the sea on the 'new' boardwalk. Lots of lovely eateries etc. I hope to return. Thank you."

"This is a quiet resort situated right on the coast. There are no restaurants on site but there is a bar and breakfast can be arranged. "This is one of the best apartment stays I’ve ever been in. The view of the ocean from the balcony, access to pool, cliff trails, downtown are amazing. Great space and well suited for a large group. "I booked at around 8pm and drove 3 hours to get to the hotel and the door was locked I rang the door bell for 30 mins and nothing , yelled to get someone attention and nothing , don’t book this hotel with out calling first to see if someone is there working or you will be left outside "

"This is a maximum a 3 star hotel overall. Breakfast and dinner were really poor. In the morning almost all tables were dirty and staff have done nothing about that. Also we weren’t offered any drinks or eggs, later we found out that we could have a sunny side up or similar by request but it was impossible to find staff. Beds are just awful and painful, old mattresses with broken springs. Only 1 (ONE!!!) average speed EV charger in the whole facility."

"This resort property exceeded our expectations in several ways. The breakfast buffet was impressive and delicious, efficiently serving a large number of people. The indoor and outdoor pools were clean and wonderful - we did not try the beach club amenity. Our room was upgraded to a suite and was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Self parking was safe and free, and paid underground parking was also available. Finally, the hotel was conveniently located to the marina, town, bus station, restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend this hotel!"
