Beautiful Languedoc Villa in historic Minervois Village

"The property was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bedrooms were well laid out. Everything was as described on VRBO. The pool was beautiful and crystal clear. The pool men came twice a week to maintain it. The a/c in the bedrooms was a godsend as the temperatures didn’t dip below the low 30C during our 2 week stay. Paul was an excellent host, responding quickly and positively to any questions we had. We were a mixed family of 11 with 4 adults and 7 children , we all had a brilliant time. I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends."

"Très beau logement avec une grande piscine. Climatisation dans toutes les pièces, literie confortable et bel extérieur. Résidence fermée avec possibilité de garer sa voiture à l'intérieur. Très bonne communication avec l'hôte qui est très disponible. Endroit très calme.Seul bémol: pas d'éclairage à l'extérieur pour manger mais présence des lampadaires du chemin. Je recommande."

"Our stay in Quarante was, in a word: wonderful.We stayed in a beautiful villa, of which we were allowed to use a part. The accommodation was spacious, atmospheric, and fully equipped with all conveniences. There were four lovely bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with a shower. Some rooms also had a bathtub, providing extra comfort and privacy.The large, well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare a delicious meal ourselves. A washing machine was also available, which is very convenient during a holiday. All rooms had air conditioning that could be individually adjusted per room. This ensured a pleasant stay, even on the hottest days.Outside, there was a beautiful swimming pool where it was wonderful to relax. The only small downside was that the pool was above ground, meaning you had to climb a small ladder to get in. However, this did little to detract from the holiday feeling.All in all, we look back on a truly unforgettable stay. The combination of the beautiful villa, complete facilities, peace and quiet, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made this not just a place to stay, but a destination in itself. We cannot recommend it highly enough and would return without hesitation. A perfect retreat for anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and a touch of luxury in the South of France. Stephany and Charlie were very kind and helped us by each and every question."

"Just back from a wonderful week spent in Maison Quarante. The villa far surpassed our expectations. With 19 guests the villa was under no pressure whatsoever. Each bedroom had its own en suite with some even having baths as well. There were portable AC machines in most rooms and fans in some as well, although a couple of those did not work. However the villa was not unbearably hot as the windows were large and allowed plenty of fresh to circulate There were many rooms in which to relax and the garden and pool area were superb. Add to that the table tennis , boules , badminton rackets and playing cards , piano, guitars and ukulele and we certainly had no reason to be bored! We used the kitchen extensively and the fridges and freezer were a great help. The ice machine was a little temperamental though but we survived! The other area for special mention has to be the sun rooms at the end of the garden. With subtle lighting , a fire pit, a huge barbecue and soft seating as well as three large tables and about 20 chairs we spent many nights there talking and of course having a couple of glassss of wine and beer.The local Bar Quarante was a very short walk from the house and we ate and drank there many times over the week, special mention to Diego who was a wonderful host every time we visited.All in all we could not have had a more enjoyable stay in the most wonderful villa. Charlotte was on hand at all times to ensure we wanted for nothing. Would rate this 10/10"

"This was clearly the nicest place we stayed on our bike trip from Carcassonne to Sete. The host couple, Natalie and Sebastien, could not have more welcoming or helpful. Their quiet little chambres de hotes is very close to the Canal du Midi path and very relaxing. The swimming pool was a delight after a day on the bike and they served us beers poolside (extra charge). Their extremely friendly pup, Violette, was an unexpected delight. I recommend taking them up on the offer for a seat at their table de hotes as well. It was a delicious meal on their terrace. I would recommend that you consider planning each stage of your trip around an overnight stop at Le Colibri Bleu."
