"Good food and drink at the pub that is separate from the accommodation. Slight problem on check in as they had given us a double room instead of a twin, despite sending an email prior to arrival requesting a twin. Staff shortages meant it was a while before the bed situation was sorted but we were in the bar by then so not really an issue. The receptionist was apologetic and keen to resolve the issue so bonus points to her."

"Could not stay in our room during the evening as a very noisy party was taking place downstairs. We were not prepared of the function, but staff did attempt to get the noise reduced, and offered us a complimentary drink in the bar. This however meant we could not use our room, or get an early night. A pity, as otherwise good value and good food."
