Right out the gate, I noticed my bed had hairs on it (more than a few). I politely asked staff to address this and change the sheets. The cleaning lady in the presence of the front-of-house staff began shouting and complaining (seemingly about being asked to do this) until I relented. The breakfast was very good. I did not like that my bathroom basically flooded every time I took a shower because the floor is flat and there is nothing barring water from flowing away from the shower. I also found it annoying to have to pay 880 AMD for instant coffee while I waited for my room to be made ready. Certainly didn’t count as the “complimentary drink” Staff should also pick up trash like water bottles left around the hotel grounds by other guests. I slept well overall, but would recommend some customer service training for the young staff.

Good and friendly service but there was no pool while it was advertised that there was a pool, the beds were pretty bad, no AC, no tv (in some rooms), the door of the balcony was half broken. Overal it’s a bit too expensive for what you get.

A piece of heaven

I cannot say enough good things about my wonderful stay in Dilijan, and it was because of the excellent hospitality provided by Casanova Inn. The place is so charming and peaceful, and the meals some of the best anywhere. The staff was so friendly that I did not feel I was in a hotel, I felt I was at home with family. They care about each of their guests and go out of their way to provide the best Dilijan experience possible. The owner, the managers, the workers all were top notch. Friendships were formed, and I did not want to leave. We had many nice talks, and they even arranged an unforgettable excursion with barbecue high up in the mountains. This was a real highlight of my entire trip. I would return to Casanova anytime and recommend it highly!

I would give this hotel one star. The property is in very poor condition and appears to have been neglected for a long time. It was extremely disappointing. I booked this hotel based on the positive reviews, but I honestly don’t understand how it received such high ratings. The only positive aspects were the beautiful view from the balcony and the restaurant, as well as the good breakfast. I have no complaints about the breakfast. Unfortunately, the rooms and bathrooms were in terrible condition and far below my expectations. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would not stay at this hotel again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

It’s a nice location and staff were super helpful but rooms need to be upgraded. Hard to see a view from any of the rooms but the breakfast room is newly renovated and has a nice view. I hope they invest in upgrading the rooms including the furniture.

We were disappointed to see huge discrepancy between the photos posted on Expedia and the actual look of the hotel and the room. There was no reception for 30 minutes, then we wanted to see our room. We were shocked to see such old beds and bathrooms which did not match at all to the pictures we saw online. We immediately declined to stay and we were not allowed to cancel and get a refund. I suggest Expedia to do more fact check about the true nature of the hotels posted on their website. We ended up moving to another hotel.

The service was very friendly but it felt like there was only 1 person managing the entire hotel. The room lacked some basic amenities like a mirror, trash bin, or mini fridge. There was no housekeeping so they didn't clean the room when we were away nor give us fresh towels. The pool wasn’t working. The breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant was acceptable but the lunch/dinner options were inedible. I’d only recommend this spot for anyone spending only 1 night and will leave after breakfast immediately.

The hostess was really hospitable. This was the most amazing stay I have ever had. The breakfast i was served made me feel like royalty. The scenery was breathtaking! I will be back while I am still living in Armenia.

Etape a Dildjan sur la route des monastères

Très bonne surprise que cet hôtel situé sur les hauteurs de Dilidjan. Il a des allures de chalet suisse car construit tout en bois. Decor très familial avec de nombreuses peintures. Belle et grande chsmbre avec balcon au décor désuet mais plein de charme. Comme il est loin de la route principale calme absolu. Personnel tres attentionné. Un petit déjeuner tres copieux et très varié. Possibilite de diner au restaurant de l'hôtel.

Hotel a gestione familiare, con camere spaziose dal gusto retrò. La sensazione è di essere in una bella casa di altri tempi, con una sala piena di quadri, libri e ricordi e un bel giardino con patio. Abbiamo anche cenato per due volte, piatti semplici ma gradevoli. Un ringraziamento a Hayk per il servizio e l assistenza firnita per una gomma sgonfia della nostra auto

A wonderful family-owned hotel with all amenities, in what is arguably the nicest town of Armenia, with lots of activities in the mountains. Try to get the junior suite. On my next trip, I will book this hotel again. Great breakfast, very good dinner and lunch (but reserve and order in advance, because the fresh ingredients take time to prepare).
