"A lovely, well-equipped house in a stunning location with its own fabulous garden. Brilliant for our family group of 10. Lots to do locally. The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. "We hebben genoten van de plek, rustig, ruim, veel privacy mogelijkheden in huis, als je zoals wij met 4 vriendinnen bent. Keuken uitrusting basic, alles is er. Fijn balkon en mooi uitzicht, je bent zo in de natuur. De wc zat in de badkamer, dat was soms wat onhandig. Prima plek! Gastheer was niet aanwezig maar wel goed te bereiken voor vragen."

"Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abgelegen, was den Scharm nur erhöht. Zwischen Weinbergen und Wäldern hat man ein kleines Domizil mit Garten und Grill für sich. Einkäufe lassen sich komprimiert in der nächsten Umgebung erledigen. Die Gastgeber wohnen in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft, aber man hat nur Kontakt, wenn man ihn anfordert, was die Gastgeber noch sympathischer macht! "

"Just back from a visit to Idar-Oberstein. Parking was easy, I arrived after 10pm so reception was closed but a staff member was able to quickly get me checked in. Room was perfect for my stay. Hotel is close to the Felsenkirche and castles. The Norma shop is 2 minutes walk away and there are several places to eat in the square."

"It was a very nice experience staying at the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and the price are also fair. The hotel rooms are pretty clean and the location is amazing if you like to do more of walking or hiking. It was a bit private place, not much noise from outside. Just pure Nature. Im very happy with our stay. Highly recommended. "

"Staff were nice and helpful, though didn’t fix soap dispenser after i asked. There were things unexplained and it made the stay a little challenging. No drawers or closets for clothes in the rooms made it difficult to arrange clothing during the stay, shower only made the whole floor wet and other users of the bathroom have to walk on wet tile floor and use same wet floor towel. Breakfast was good but a little expensive 14€, even if you only drink one coffee and eat one croissant. Did not try the restaurant at lunch but the menu looked good. Pretty area but next to a dry cleaners and some kind of factory, but there is a supermarket across the street."
