Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Dharni?
The best area to stay in Dharni is within the main town centre itself, particularly around the Shivaji Nagar area. This neighbourhood is the heart of Dharni, offering convenience and access to local amenities. It's relatively compact and features the main market, local eateries, and a few guesthouses. The area around the Dharni bus stand is also quite central and provides easy access for onward travel. For travellers looking for a convenient base to explore the local region, staying in the town centre is ideal. It provides straightforward access to local transport and allows for easy planning of day trips to nearby natural attractions or cultural sites, such as the Melghat Tiger Reserve.Couples often find the town centre suitable for its practicality.
When is the best time to go to Dharni?
For the most pleasant weather, the best time to visit Dharni is during the cooler, dry months from October to March.During these months, the temperatures are moderate, ranging from a comfortable 15°C to 30°C. This period avoids the intense heat of summer and the heavy rainfall of the monsoon season, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. It's a great time for couples or families looking to enjoy the outdoors without the discomfort of extreme weather. The monsoon season, from June to September, brings significant rainfall, which can make travel and outdoor excursions more challenging. While the landscape is lush and green during this time, some roads might be less accessible, and humidity levels are high. The summer months of April and May are characterised by high temperatures, often exceeding 40°C, which can be quite uncomfortable for sightseeing.
