"The view was incredible off the front balcony. The house is on a small hill overlooking the valley below. The river access was just a few minutes walk down the driveway and was really pretty. My kids really enjoyed playing at the river and skipping rocks and the town of Leakey is adorable and SO friendly. The house itself is small and older, but totally fine for our size party. The kitchen has been recently redone and was REALLY well stocked. It’s a little bit of a hike to Leakey, about 8 miles, but it was super quiet and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The hosts were super great about communication when we had a hard time getting in the door. FOLLOW the directions to the house that are given. My father in laws GPS took them right to the house, ours went a few miles down the road and it was in the middle of the night, so it was hard to find, but had we just followed the directions given, we would have been fine!We had a great stay!!"

"Lovely Upper Nueces River riverfront property. We were lucky to catch the river in great shape in mid-September—hill country rivers go back and forth between too little flow and way too much flow— so the fishing and hanging out at the river was excellent. The cabin is, as advertised, an older, rustic hunting cabin, but it is well laid out and comfortable, cold ac, very hot water, good covered back porch facing the river valley, lots of hummingbirds and lesser goldfinches and vireos. Four wheel drive is needed to transfer recreational stuff, and definitely older folks, to the river, where there is good shallow and deeper water access, but as long as you’ve got some rugged wheels, it’s a special property, lots of walnut, juniper, oak, and the crystal clear upper Nueces. We look forward to returning."

"This is a super cute, super cozy house with everything needed to enjoy a nice quiet, relaxing weekend in the country surrounded in all directions by Texas Hill country. Host is super friendly and communicative. Highly recommended!We can’t wait to return."

"Our family went to Genesis Springs Ranch for my husband's 60th birthday get-away. It was a magical weekend! The accommodations are top-notch with everything you can ever want and more. Our guide, Levi, was extremely knowledgeable with all sorts of amazing animal facts and history. We have never seen such incredible animals - it was like animal kingdom all weekend! Our younger son also went fishing in the amazing ponds and that was unexpected to have such a fun fishing experience also. Will go back as often as possible - star gazing was the greatest we have seen in many years from this property. Gorgeous country - don't pass up a chance to get to go! The oryx we got from the hunt, was massive - such a great time all around!"
