Roadrunner Canyon Ranch
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay! The river was absolutely beautiful after the recent rains (July 2026). We went down to the closest water crossing where the water was flowing pretty good and had the best time. The kids (2y-11y) loved exploring, swimming, and floating. The house was perfect for our group. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was plenty of space. The hosts were incredibly attentive to us and we appreciated their quick replies for some things came up. We would definitely stay again!"
"We had a wonderful week! The Frio was awesome! This is our third time staying at Ash Creek Hideaway and we enjoy it more each time. It is a beautiful and relaxing property. Wendy is a wonderful host and always goes above and beyond. We hope to be back real soon!"
"We always enjoy our time at this lovely property. We’ll be back again next year! Kelly is an excellent host; his communication is prompt and thorough."

10/10 Excellent
"This was our third stay at this property, and we loved it just as much this time! The privacy, views, and even neighbors we visited with from across the river make it the best place on the Frio!"
"Super clean and well stocked with kitchen/bathroom supplies and games! You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought, effort, and care into the property. We even got to check in early which we really appreciated :)"
"The property owner was GREAT! Very detailed instructions on the check in process and he provided additional local tips to make the trip more enjoyable. The location is wonderful as it is close enough to “town” but very secluded, such that we only saw a handful of other people on the river while were here for Mother’s Day weekend. Very comfortable accommodations and awesome that it is dog-friendly."
654 Acre Ranch with Natural Springs and Endless Activities
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great, 3 day stay at the Genesis Ranch. There were only two of us so we didn’t need the bunk house, but the main house is great. Clean and well appointed. Further, unlike too many hill-country ranches we have rented, it was uncluttered and new. Roby has done a great job providing a place that feels refreshing to be in.
The ranch itself is beautiful too. Some great hiking trials and beautiful, exotic animals to be seen.
And the spring is beautiful. It’s well worth the hike up the creek-bed to it. The hike is great and the area at the spring is magical."
