Tall trees is an amazing resort immersed in nature! A relaxing and scenic environment with many wonderful activities such as nature hike, tea tasting and evening bon fires. The restaurant has amazing food. Highly recommend!
This is a lovely property. It’s quiet, the rooms are nicely furnished with good amenities, bathroom is great, balcony and living area all good. Room service and restaurant are both excellent. Service from all staff is professional, friendly, warm and helpful. I would stay here again, thank you.
We flipping loved Tall Trees, everything from the staff, restaurant, accommodation, location and surroundings.
A global agency cocked up on our booking but the TTR team saved the day with the minimum of fuss and most amount of care. Would recommend to couples and families alike.
2 days here were enough for us to feel relaxed and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were excellent and food was good with a wide variety. As we were hoping to do bird photography and didn’t see many birds amongst the tall trees so we were a little disappointed. But all in all it’s a beautiful resort if relaxation and quiet time are what you need.
Stay was wonderful, really lovely people who worked there. The place was beautiful and very well maintained. Very peaceful with the bonus of enjoying tea tasting and sunset/sunrise walks with the staff to guide
Really recommend to anyone staying in the area
Beautiful place amongst the trees. They have excellent guided walks in the morning and evening. The food was very good and the staff very helpful. It is unfortunate that there is no bar but the law in India now is not helping the hotel or off licence trade. The local highlights were the cardamom trees, coffee trees, tea plantation, giant squirrels and the Malabar Whistling Thrush which were on site or a short walk away. Go and stay and if you go to Munnar you must go to the tea museum and the Srishti Trust where they dye and block print their own fabric, make scarves and strawberry jam.
Très joli complexe de bungalows au milieu de la ve
Un peu à l'écart du bourg de Munnar , au milieu d'un écrin de verdure et proche des plantations de thé, bel établissement de bungalows à flanc de montagne. Excellente cuisine. Massages aryuvediques délicieux.
Great position in the middle of tea and cardamom plantations. Lovely views. Restaurant, although a bit of a trek to reach, is very good. We ate A La Carte one night and the prawns were superb!
Chalets nicely positioned and we managed to get a free upgrade to a Saffron room which was very spacious and had a newly renovated bathroom.
The location was gorgeous nestled amidst 'tall trees' in the hills of Munnar. The road to the resort wasn't that great but once you got there, it was totally worth the bumpy ride. The property was well designed and the flora was local and lovely.
We stayed for 2 nights half-board in a deluxe cottage. As active travellers looking to walk and explore, we enjoyed walking round the grounds of the hotel and outside. This is very much a retreat, with no restaurants or other facilities near-by, but it's a lovely place for a get-away. It's set on a steep hill, so doesn't work well for anyone who finds walking challenging.
Great hotel right in the middle of the forest! Half an hour from main attractions by taxi, reasonable prices. Very nice & hospitable staff in restaurant, catoring to both western and indian tastes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, only problem was did not get to stay long enough. Enjoyed the nature walk through a tea plantation nearby.
The Dining place is very difficult to reach as we have to climb up a rough terrain. For elderly person it is impossible to reach the restaraunts/ Dinning hall. No room service. No TV. No entertainment.
Only good for SPA and Massage.
Certainly a great place if you want to experience nature at its purest! Living among the clouds and pristine green hills are probably Indias alternative to the rainforest experience. The hotel has no Tv for all those of us addicted to the box. However after a few days without the modern influences (place has poor mobile networks; so you stay undisturbed) one certainly is refreshed and recharged. Maybe requires a better menu since the dinner was ok and could be better. However to get around one must certainly get a self drive car too; which is a great way to explore places around at your pace and convenience. Have seen almost all hotels in the area. This is one of the best without doubt.
Belle situation dans un environnement merveilleux.Vue sur les plantations de thé
avec coucher de soleil inoubliable
Chambres simples mais confortables
Salle de bain à améliorer ( Douche..."rustique")
Bon restaurant malgré un service très lent
Buffet breakfast correct
