The place is an older building that should see some updates, but the rooms were clean and the bedding and towels were clean too. Yvette, the front desk staff was amazing! Went above and beyond for our group the entire weekend. Close to our events and convenient and Rich our shuffle driver was awesome!! Will definitely come back again!

No microwave, no firdge room was small. Hotel phone didn’t work most of the time we were there. No hotel breakfast. No ice machine. The hotel only had reusable water bottles. Housekeeping never came and made our bed. Hotel was really small. Plus is the hotel is connected to a small “ pub/bar”. Very convenient for walking distance things. Such as Walgreens & Mcdonald’s. If you are not from Chicago and your wanting to visit. Come here as your 2nd to last option.

Guests lobbying around hallways , guy accused me of kicking his dog I never even got close to his dog, clearly he was on drugs, I went downstairs to complain only to find out the security said the same thing. THe guy accused him of kicking his dog,didn't feel safe

I was aware booking this hotel that its a budget property. I didnt expect 5 star luxurious stay however, I expect basic cleanliness and safety. Upon entering we were kindly greated. The front staff ladies were very kind! I asked about the advertised free weekend shuttle as we were attending a show at Little Cesars arena and was disappointed when we were told its only fridays/Saturdays. It should be advertised as that then as weekends implies friday-sunday. We got assigned room #324 and upon reaching the elevator there was definitely a strong odor of marijuana. What bothered me the most was the bizzare barn door for the bathroom that had dried blood on the inside. How do you do a basic clean of the hotel room including making bed and cleaning washroom and not notice that? It was fairly loud as well as you could hear just about everything and im a deep sleeper. For the price we paid its hard to be bothered by the little things like noise/location, but basic sanitation should always be #1 importance. In the future I will definitely be staying somewhere cleaner/safer.

I booked the hotel as it was very close to the sporting arenas. The biggest mistake ever. The staff seem friendly, however, that's about the only decent thing about this place. First, the room reeks of cleaning chemicals, not even the pleasant one. No water provided or available for visitors that DON'T carry USD. Other guests are not the most considerate, making loud conversations (and other noises) in the hallway and in their hotel room. Soap, lotions and shampoos provided seem to be halfway used when I got in the place. I know they provide breakfast, but I don't know if I want to touch anything there (no offense to the staff). The place looks like it hasn't been renovated in 15 years. If possible, I would look for another place to stay!

we are staying at the comfort inn in downtown Detroit for 2 nights. We just checked in and the hotel is absolutely disgusting. The rooms smell of bleach, there’s blood on the curtains and the fan is as loud as an airplane. The bed is broken, the door doesnt shut and there’s punches in the walls and the hallways are disgusting. I would like to ask for a refund and to check out immediately. It is unsafe and disgusting.

I had to get my key reactivated everyday. The breakfast section sucks. Gotta come early before the hood rats wake up. No one came and cleaned room. Smelled like weed in the elevator.

We like the convenience to downtown for our event. The staff was welcoming and nice! Rooms were older looking, halls and room smelled of weed, towels were dirty and when I went to cleaning person they didn’t have any on their cart and had to get back to me but didn’t. Nice that they had breakfast a bar and the shuttle. So overall good but needed to be more clean.

We checked in Friday night , the place seemed ok Not long after we got into the room i heard this door constantly opening and closing - exit at end of the hall - right beside our window - super noisey The next prize we were given was a group of women that were yelling and carrying on until midnight, then back at it at 530 am ! What a joke ! THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN !! Talk to reception the next morning to find out that group had checked out Skip to Saturday evening- we get back from our event and go to our room - then the sh*tshow starts .... It sounded like a heard of cows were running a marathon on the floor above us, then, the guys across hall start yelling back and forth - I tried my best to let it go , nope ! We packed up and headed to the lobby at 1030pm , and wouldnt you know it , its packed with 20 yr olds having a GD party in the lobby - The attendant was serving booze to this group and could care a less about the level of noise throughout the hotel !! I told him we were checking out , he just shrugged his shoulders and told me I could call management in the am !!! I would never book there again and they should really rethink if they are a hotel or a bar .....

Fantastic service, could use a bit of an update
This was the most affordable option available for New Year’s Eve. While the property was a bit outdated and needed a bit of upkeep the service was outstanding. Would I prefer a door that stays closed while I’m using the bathroom, sure. But the lobby bar and amazing shuttle drivers far surpassed my expectations. I would recommend to a friend (with a small warning about the bathroom door situation) and I would absolutely stay there again.
