REISEKULTOUREN Leopold Apartment in the center of Detmold

Our REISEKULTOUREN apartments are located in the centre of Detmold, right in the heart of one of the seven historic city centers of the former Principality of Lippe. From here, discover the Teutoburg Forest Nature Park with its excellent network of hiking and biking trails, the Hermann Monument, the Externsteine, and the LWL Open-Air Museum in Detmold. All of these attractions—which are also of great significance beyond the region—are even within walking distance.

Our two holiday apartments, exclusively designed and luxuriously furnished in 2014, are your cosy home away from home for a relaxing, eventful holiday—close to nature yet right in the heart of a diverse cultural setting. Detmold boasts a vibrant music scene, numerous owner-operated shops, and a diverse range of dining options. The pedestrian zone is about 150 metres from our house, and it’s just a 5-minute walk to the market square and the Princely Residence Palace. Due to our central city centre location, we unfortunately do not have our own parking spaces. For loading and unloading, please use the street-side parking with a parking metre. Within a 5-minute walk, there are several car parks and car parks where you can park for as little as €1.50 per day.

About the LEOPOLD Apartment:
The LEOPOLD holiday apartment is approximately 41 square metres in size. The living room/bedroom (with a 1.60-meter bed) faces south, and the large kitchen faces the garden. The decor combines modern furniture with lovingly restored antiques. The high-quality bedding, mattresses, and covers also ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. Bed linens are provided. Of course, free Wi-Fi is available.

The apartment is equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, a DVD player, and an iPod docking station. The kitchen features a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, a dishwasher, and an oven. The bathroom with a shower features light-colored tiles and has a window. A hair dryer and towels are provided. A table and chairs are set up in the garden, and if you’d like, you can even have a barbecue. In the enclosed courtyard, you’ll also find secure storage for bicycles.

What makes it special:
Our REISEKULTOUREN apartments feature a whisky honesty bar in the entryway. We use the proceeds to support local nature conservation projects.

Check-in is flexible, contactless, and COVID-19 compliant, using a door code. Even though we may not see each other when you arrive, we’re always available to assist you.
