We stayed in the bush chalet, brand new, good beds. The staff is extremely friendly and the game drive into Hwange park highly recommendable. The place is still a bit under construction. Loved the fire place!

great place to see elephants

Rooms are nice and are well appointed and staff very friendly. Limited menu for meals but the chef was great to work with on suggestions. Elephants come to drink from the water hole and the pool. East to find in Hwange.

Elephants drinking from pool were a highlight. Some nicities were missing e.g. soap in communal toilets, hand towels and washcloths in the room, napkins in dining room, formed paths to the rooms

Small houses but unique. Es fehlen Möglichkeiten etwas aufzuhängen .Einen Schrank gibt es auch nicht. Ruhig gelegen.Wlan nur im Lobby Bereich

Hwange was wonderful. The lodge is on the more rustic side, but it is super nice. The beds are comfortable. Everything is clean. The showers can be temperamental, but there is plenty of hot water (my brother struggled with the shower in their room and to be fair, the showers did a bit of alternating between hot and cold occasionally). The only complaint might be that the walls are thin. But our group took up the whole section where we were so we weren’t bothering anyone else and no one else could hear us. The food was very good, though there were some menu items which they were out of. Most importantly, the staff were super accommodating. They pulled out the green laser and turned off some lights for us to have a better look at the stars. And Brighton gave the best game drive ever. He knew the animals, the birds, the trees… it was like having a science professor driving the truck.

Gwango stay nov 2023

Where do I start?! We stayed for 4 nights and it was just amazing. Every single person was so lovely and kind. Seeing elephants drink from the pool is something I'll remember for the rest of my life. Mahko took us on 3 game drives and his knowledge of the park and the animals is on another level, he's an asset to the lodge. The only negative I have is that we couldn't stay longer than 4 nights. I honestly considered feeding my passport to the elephants so I could stay. The lodges were spacious and lovely, beds so comfy. House keeping come in daily with fresh towels and to make the bed. The managers of the resort were also lovely people, so friendly and welcoming. I fell in love with hwange and without a doubt we will be back. If I could give it 10 stars I would.. I'd live there if I could! I thoroughly enjoyed being stuck at the bar because elephants were blocking the way to our room! Also, chef and the food are top notch too. I honestly can't speak highly enough of the place.

Upgraded from a bush lodge to delux after noting only single beds available although booked for a couple..the price difference was quoted as an extra $30 but when it came to paying was charged an extra $47..no internet available and very limited menu.

Au coeur du Bush.

Excellent séjour, personnel très sympathique, très bien placé! Très belles chambres, bon restaurant. Il manquait juste du chauffage (nous étions en hiver austral avec des nuits à 4/5°...).

Hot water for shower weak, Power supply to rooms weak, USB ports for charging phones did not work. NB The biggest problem is that you have to park your vehicle about 200m from the chalet and have to struggle through the sand with your luggage and every time you need something from the vehicle. VERY INCONVENIENT!! Why not provide parking in front of or behind the chalets, there are ample space.

The lodge is perfect for a visit of Hwange National Park as it is located just 10 min from the entrance. The bush chalets are very clean and cosy and I very much liked the design and decorations. Everybody at the lodge was so attentive and helpful and everything was very well organized. The game drives were perfect and the guides are very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the animals and their habitat. Just bring warm clothes in May. The food was delicious. Elephants come to the water holes and the pool every day and it was absolutely amazing being able to see them from such a short distance. All in all I couldn't recommend the lodge more!

Staff ripped us off replacing our tires.

Enjoyed our stay except we suffered two punctured tires and the staff said they would help arrange us two new tires. It took them 48 hours to do so (meaning we had to extend our stay at the resort), and they charged us $60 per tire, a complete rip-off. I feel like they took the opportunity to exploit us given we would be stranded otherwise. For this reason, I feel disappointed at the service and wouldn't return.

Great venue for young and old

Enjoyed the stay although they are very much in the process of improving and building new facilities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Service overall are good. The location great as it is just outside the main entrance into Hwange National Park.The ideal place for rest and relax after a day out in the National Park. All accommodation very clean and well cared for. The food menu are not very big, but foods prepared very tastefully.

リッチで素敵なホテルでした。

ホテルはとても綺麗で快適でした。アメニティやタオルも完備でお湯も出ました。停電してもジェネレーターがあったので、困ることもなかったです。レストランエリアと客室エリアにキャンプファイヤーを用意してくれ、肌寒い夜でも快適に楽しめました。広々として静かで星空も綺麗でした。ワンゲナショナルパークからも近くてサファリのゲームドライブもその場ですぐに申し込めました。ホテル内のレストランは高めで飲み物も若干割高でしたが、盛り付けも綺麗で美味しかったです。自家用車があれば問題ないですが、公共の交通で行く場合はホテルにあらかじめ迎えをお願いしていた方が無難です。私の時はホテルに電話してもつながらなかったので、少し困りました。ビクトリアフォールズーブラワヨ間のバスはCross Mabale(クロスマバレ)という場所で降りてタクシー１台１０ドル〜１５ドルほどで連れて行ってくれます。ホテルでお願いしたら１人１０ドルとのことでしたが交渉して１台１０ドルでも用意してくれました。

Perfect place to stay - highly recommended

Well kept, clean, pieceful, linked to nature. Hepful caring staff & owners - best regards to Victor! Convenient location next to the park entrance (Main camp) We loved our stay so much, that we have returned for 2 more nights on our return trip from VF Simple accommodation, but with all basic comfort you need, wish it will stay like this, much better way than some extreemly overpriced "snobbish" places arround.

Owners are greedy

It was our worst stay during the entire trip. the lodge is not cheap and yet still it is horrible. if I would pay 20USD maybe I would be satisfied but for the price I expect much more. The houses have huge holes hence a lot of insects because they were built in the cheapest way possible. There is no aircon, wifi is only available in common areas which are few minutes away from the chalets and what was the most annoying there is very poor light inside so you see almost nothing after sunset without a torch. Also there are even no kettels nor fridge so you can't have your own food kept safe which means hundreds of ants when you bring anything- owners just assumed that you HAVE TO buy at their bar/ restaurant so they cut all your options. The full day safari was meant to be 6am to 6pm according to Gwange website however our guide came prepared for 8h only. He was great so he decided to stay longer with us (really hope he got paid for that). The lodge is only 15 km from the main road but as there is no transport at all so they make another business trying to sell taxi services for 20USD one way... it should be included in the price! As a contrary they have a friendly and very helpful staff plus you get a chance of being woken up by feeding elephant or meet some other wild animals.
