Top Hotels in West Papua

Vogelkopf Resort
3.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (2)
"Amazing stay! The hotel has a pier just a few meters away from a beautiful choral reef, we saw turtles, baby sharks, cuttlefish and many other fishes. The restaurant is by the mangrove and serves delicious local food. Our room was big, clean and very comfortable with aircon 24hrs (a privilege in Raja Ampat). Last but not least, the staff and owners were very helpful in any way they could, whatever doubt or issue we had they help us to solve it like we were family. Really very recommended! "

"The hostel room was clean and they offer optional meals if you prefer to stay in the hostel as long as you let the staff know in advance. Cinta, the hostel manager, has been accommodating and helped us to join the local tour. Would definitely recommend this place to friend and family who visit Waisai! "

"Lovely rooms. Larger than expected. The single rooms over the water could easily take 2 people and beach cabins had 2 double beds. Clean, friendly courteous service. Can what’s app the resort to organise transport. Provided English speaking manager to organise activities. Bird watching for Red and Wilson’s Birds of paradise particularly excellent. The guide has build rail on walking track and bird hides at both spots. Good snorkling just off the pier."

Korpak Villa & Resort Raja Ampat
3.0 star property
7.0 out of 10, Good, (4)
"Really nice place but our villa had holes in the window screens and gaps in the walls that let the mosquitoes in and the cool air out. Like several places we stayed in Indonesia there was no top sheet and the blankets were too thick for us. Also, the lighting consisted of one naked bulb on the ceiling, with no reading light. So, this would have been a great stay if I had bought mosquito repellent, a tropical sleep sack, and my head lamp. "

Kyriad M Hotel Sorong
3.0 star property
7.0 out of 10, Good, (4)
"This hotel potrayed on the website was portrayed as the new “soon to be opened” hotel when in fact I was paying for the much older substandard hotel. This is a complete ripoff and I expect to get a full refund. The rooms had windows, in room phone didn’t work, so numerous room problems required multiple trips to the front desketc, I could say more, but you get the jist. in the end, I merely checked out the next day to get another hotel. Luxio Hotel Sorong
3.0 star property
6.4 out of 10, (5)
"Had a room full of ants on the floor and lizard poop on the bedsheet so we asked for a change of room. No issues with that. Second room was better. We had to check out early the next day and during check in, we asked for breakfast boxes to take away and even double confirmed with the front office staff about that. Next day arrived and they forgot about our breakfast boxes. Not a biggie. Just disappointing. However for the price, couldnt complain much."

"The hotel is a decent local choice - centrally located, which is important, and it compares favorably with other options in terms of comfort, service, food, and other amenities. The overall service has definitely improved over my past few visits, as it was somewhat spotty in the past. "

Hotel Mariat Sorong
3.0 star property
5.8 out of 10, (7)
"i think you need to read past reviews with a grain of salt. Similar to some Amazon reviewers, there are folks that just can't be satisfied. If you've ever stayed at a Motel 6 in the US, this place is leaps and bounds better. Sure, it lacks amenities, like a shelf in the shower for shampoo and soap. And if you demand a western-style breakfast, get over it - your'e traveling....in Indonesia...and it's free. If you're a budget traveler, this place rocks"
