"La Cucina exceeded our expectations in every way. Our family gathered from three places in Europe and the US to meet for time together mixed with seeing the best of Rome. "We had a wonderful stay at this property. As other reviewers have said, the property is even more beautiful in person. We felt welcomed immediately, especially with a delicious chocolate cake waiting for us. The kids in the group had fun in the pool, playing ping pong and soccer and seeing all the wildlife. "This was our 5th year staying at Casale Giacinta. It is an oasis of calm, surrounded by wonderful scenery (mountains and sea) and offers a great base for exploring the national parks of Majella and Gran Sasso or the coast and beaches north and south of Pescara. The villa is really well appointed with air conditioning, well equipped kitchen and there is a barbecue area, bicycles, a table tennis table and a wonderful swimming pool. "Our little apartment nestled high on the mountain hillside was just perfect. Such a stunning view of the countryside. Our family and friends live in Pennadomo a mountain town just 25 minutes away so this was a good location with plenty of conveniences not far away. The big plus was our hosts, Lynda and Rob.
