Book Ponthieu-Marquenterre Hotels

Our second visit to the Auberge and we could return in the future. Nice setting, good food, lovely staff - and close to the channel crossing so makes a great stopover.

Such an unusual hotel. What a wonderfully warm welcome even though we arrived about an hour earlier than the advised check-in time. Beautifully clean rooms. Compact but everything you could possibly need. The only disappointment was the bar and restaurant beong closed on our visit (Monday). Apparently this is the case on Sundays and Mondays although that was not clearly advertised on the site I booked through. Would still highly recommend.

Relaxing and peaceful, helpful staff and superb food. Would definitely stay again

The room was large and spacious. Also a large bathroom. A large comfortable bed. Adequate supplies in fridge for breakfast juice fruit yogurt etc. and coffee and tea. Bread and croissants were available in the morning. The only big drawback was the lack of lighting. There were no room lights at all!! Only bedside lights each side and a small desk light. Sitting in a chair to read, when dark outside was not possible for an older person. The desk light didn’t work at first. I found the bulb not tightly screwed in, but more importantly the socket into which it was plugged, didn’t work. Other than these points the room was super.

This is a must. The owners are the best hosts we have come across they made us so welcome, rooms are immaculate large clean and so beautifully decorated and furnished. Wish we could have stayed longer and definitely will be back. An easy 50 minute drive from Calais into the Somme countryside.

Tiny spaces in the apartment. Poorly equipped kitchen. Extra charges for everything. Some areas of the building in a poor state of decor. Reception staff unhelpful.
